Thank you Christine ❣ Loved that you showed us ALL the things to emboss with in the same video. Plus, you explained it SO beautifully too. This will help a LOT for future card fun. thanks again.
Thank you for explaining AND showing all the different types of dies we can use to emboss and how to put them through the machine…. I have learned so much from you…without a doubt…you are definitely a gifted teacher!!! I’m sure you just solved an issue I was having with 3D embossing folders breaking through some areas in my paper …. In fact I’d bet that by misting the paper the breaking will stop!!! I’m just thrilled!! Thank you, thank you, thank you sweet dear Christine❤ Once again I am ever so grateful I found your videos and you!! Much appreciation sent, Nancy Rolfe
Thanks so much Nancy, I'm delighted that you enjoy my videos. There are probably quite a few which may help you in your crafting. Thank you for your lovely comment! 💛💛💛
Thank you for this very helpful information. I've always been reluctant to try this - just timid I suppose - and now I feel impowered to try. Thank you Christine.
Beautiful impressions using the dies and the stencil. Makes me long for my Cuttlebug machine. It was just the right size, weight and oh, so simple. Now I need to be an engineer to figure out the plates, sandwiches and shims, as well as be a weightlifter. You make your techniques look so easy - great teacher!
I know im a bit late to the party but thank you so much for showing and explaining the sandwich for using cutting dies to emboss. Many times ive ordered dies online only to find that they only cut when they arrive. With a quick order of a rubber mat i can now make my xmas cards for this year xx
Thank you very much for this well explained video. I especially liked the idea of using frame dies for embossing, think is makes a card look very classy and will definitely be practicing is my own! Thank you too for speaking clearly and not too fast, that is such a help to those who need to wear hearing aids or have a hearing impairment.
Thank you so much Christine, I really really enjoyed watching you take us all through the die and embossing with dies, stencils and both types. This is really really helpful and useful too. Again thank you so helpful Christine. Please stay safe and well too xxx Mags
Back in the day (1980s), I stenciled all kinds of things, including walls. The stencils we used back then came printed on mylar and you had to cut them with an exacto. Or we sometimes bought the mylar and traced designs from magazines or whatever. I'd forgotten about all that until seeing that part of your video! Cheers!
Such a great teacher. I’m also appreciating using dies and the guy cutting machines as I’ve kind of gotten away from them and gotten lazy and I want to get back and use them because I really do enjoy using diecuts.
You have a calm soothing way about your videos. I always enjoy watching them and seeing the beautiful results. Can I ask you what type of cardstock you use? It seems to have a beautiful texture on it. Thank you.
Like your brain wave moment. I have a couple of dies that don't cut well, but I like the design. So now I can store them with my embossing folders. I also have an Altenew folder that cuts in places when I try to emboss. I'll try the misting trick on it and play with the sandwich. I do so enjoy your videos. TY
Loved this video! Thank you! It was the first one I found, after looking for a while, that explained exactly what I wanted to know as I am deciding on buying my first die-cutting machine. ♥
You do such beautiful work, so elegant. I could watch your videos all day long and have gained so much knowledge from your clear explanations. Can you tell me what card stock you use please? I absolutely love the texture but I cannot locate anything like that here in the USA.
Hello! I love all your videos, thank you for sharing! I have a question. With the round leaf die you used that both cut and embossed, could you use a rubber embossing mat so that it only embossed and not cut out the center? Thank you again.
That should work but I would recommend dampening the card slightly before embossing with a rubber mat. The cutting line would be more pronounced than the embossed dots when using a rubber mat!
Hello Chris, I’ve only just recently found you on RUclips. I love your videos and cards. Could you say where your die is from that cuts out the aperture and embosses the leaves please? I’m British and now live in Australia. 😊 Kindest regards Chris
I really enjoy watching and learning from your videos. You do so many wonderful things. I have to ask, the dies you use first, what is it called or rather what am I looking for if I want something similar. Thanks in advance
Such a helpful video. I felt like you were in my craft room with me & just showing me how to do it. Love all your cards!!
Felt the same as I kept nodding my head saying 'yeah, yeah, yeah' as she talked us through the tutorial. :))
A very comprehensive tutorial Christine. Thank you 😊
You’re welcome 😊

Thanks so much ❤️❤️❤️
Thanks for that. I didnt realise some of the dies were only embossing ones. Brilliant embossing with a stencil.
😊😊😊

That’s really kind, thank you so much I use a linen card from either Papermill Direct or Silkweave linen from Syntego.co.uk
Good tip on intricate dies that don’t cut well. New use as an embossing die!
Exactly!
Thank you. This is a very helpful tutorial. Easy to follow, clear instructions. Most appreciated. Love your talents and creations.
Thank you so much Chris. So easy to follow, Ive got so many dies and I never think about embossing with them. Love these lessons.
Brilliant video and I especially love the fact that you can make a stencil with a die. Thanks for all the great tips xx

It's Silkweave linen from syntego.co.uk and they sell it on Amazon.com!
Thankyou for explaining the process so well. NOW I understand!
Glad it was helpful!
Such a great tutorial!! Thank you for explaining so well.
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you. I’m new to all this and your information is clear and very helpful!
I am very glad, thank you. Enjoy your journey into card making!
Very informative thank you for sharing ❤

Very helpful, Chris! Thanks so much! From Cheryl in AZ
You are so welcome!❤️
Thankyou! Have a great day!
Thank you too😊
Thank you. This was so helpful!!!!!!!! I would love to see you do a CAS card from start to end please.
If you look at my video for Mixing Embossing powders, you can see a card made from start to finish!

@@Chrissieannie thanks, I'll give it a try!
Sorry for the gaffes... An embossing die uses the regular die sandwich... NOT with a rubber mat!
What a great idea. Thank you for sharing!

It's from Memory Box, I guess they're available worldwide! I'm so pleased you like the videos!

Embossing dies don't cut out completely, the first two I used are snowflake from Creative-depot and the border die from Penny Black.
Brilliant as usual... thank you x
Have you ever had a die stick to the C plate, any advise on how to get it off...its stuck fast?
Yes and I use a pokey tool to gently prise it off!
Thanks very helpful
Glad it helped😊
Thank you very much, you are a 🌟
Thanks so much that’s really kind!
What brand is your mat that you work on?
X Cut glass mat, A3 size.
Love the tutorial 🇸🇪🥰
Oh wow, a cuttlebug, I have one also. Do you still use it?
Sometimes !
Love love love
❤️❤️❤️
Where did you get your Mylar from Chrissie?
Amazon!
How do I make my own DIES???
I don’t know!
@@Chrissieannie 🤭

Please make sure you're in frame. Kind of frustrating.
I know, it’s tricky when I’m thinking about what I’m doing rather than what’s happening with the camera! Sorry!
