After a few rains, it was still in function, but that whole area was a low spot. It definitely helped the situation by moving some of the water. Doing whats best for the situation was needed. I tried convincing them that the problem needed to be addressed way sooner, even past my camper, which I was like five sites away, UPHILL. I designed my garden to absorb tons of water and also divert tons of water away and into the correct ditch. Success? Likely. Never had to water the garden, no root rot. I sprinkled water once after a dry spell but it rained the next day. PERMACULTRE FTW!
I was told to install a french drain, practically uphill, down to the sump pump. Success? I think so. Kudos me.
