Dude, he literally and metaphorically Right foot on the whole set! I don't know whether to laugh 😅 or cry or faet at this point! His mindset in life is so inspiring and his sister too! Some of us may be disabled or suffers from mental illness but still gotta Love Life!

Mostly in circles
I like his outlook and know where he's coming from. A drunk leaving a Fourth of July BBQ hit my car in 1999. I too had to learn to walk again and wear braces on my right side as needed to keep my ankle and knee from buckling. I am convinced it changed my life for the better. Instead of becoming an antique auto restorer (mainly Studebaker and Packard) like my dad I went into economics and finance and am now a securities litigation consultant and have been able to buy a tree farm, saw mill, and a modest home in the woods where I am more likely to see a bear than another human. I have a friend who sustained a brain injury in a motorcycle accident six months ago and he is finally starting to come around and change from being bitter to grateful. It took me a long time too, but I know he'll get there like I did.

I'm disabled and am a bit of a joker, mainly joking about myself and totally understand where he's coming from. As long as you have a smile on your face you can conquer the world. I have HME.

@@briobarb8525 it's a rare bone disease called hereditary multiple exostosis and makes you have tumours in the shape of spurs made from bone all over your body.

It's funny how kids react to disabilty. I'm a wobbly woman and kids really want to know what I did to get a mobility scooter, like it's a reward for doing something great.

he hasnt overcome anything. He's a disabled person, he's used what has happened to him to turn it to his advantage. And he rocks. But as a disabled person, please stop saying someone has 'overcome' what disability they have when theyve done something or achieved something. Our disabilities are not hurdles, theyre just a different set of tools.

I like this guy for his positive attitude as well as his uplifting comedy. My daughter teaches special children and she loves it. I met one of her students, and he wanted to hug me, so we hugged. Those people have a good attitude and are fun to be around.

I don't say I'm chronically ill but chronically awesome. That always gives my docs and spoonies a good chuckle. My list of conditions and medications reads like a CVS receipt; unroll that sucker out the door. That sense of humor and positivity won't cure depression, thanks I've tried, but it will keep you fighting.
