My dog was a 13 year old miniature poodle rescue who was completely bald. My vet did all types of tests on him to determine any illness and there were none that showed up in the various tests she did She recommended Melatonin. I began immediately. Within 3 possibly 6 months his hair began growing back. He kept his hair up until the day he died 4 years later.
Female min-pin (brown if it makes a difference). approx. 12 yo. Rescued from a breeding situation when she was approx. 1.5 yo. She has always had very thin coat to where you could see the skin through it. Never seemed or seems to bother her. A few nodules that are small but solid (at least that I can tell). Want to try the vitamin E and /or castor oil I've seen in your other videos.
Thank you Dr Jones for all your information I have told so many of my friends about you and how much you help animals with home remedies which I have used on my own German Shepherd who took a major reaction to brevacto at the vets they knew he was allergic and gave him a bigger dose due to his weight he now struggles when his coat is casting he takes hot spots and as you said in video about licking a specific spot I’m using the canestine cream and he’s doing well thank you much love to Tula from me & Geo xx🐾💕🐾💙
Yes, my dog has same issue, I am going through all your videos, one by one, I am confused, exactly what is the reason behind my sick dog, I will watch all your videos one by one, to collect more information, regarding every illness, health issues and will sure buy your book, when I will have enough money to purchase it online from amazon, thank you so much sir❤🙏🙌😇
I have a 30 year old miniature pony, who has had this ailment for years. He is on daily veterinary medications. I add supplements to his daily feeds - (chia seeds, turmeric powder, dash of black pepper powder, rosehip granules, apple cider vinegar, granulated garlic and I scoop out the leaves any green tea bags I might drink cups of during the day and add these also to his feed). The one supplement that I found has made a huge difference in helping him shed his coat and helped with his joints is a product called "Cen Oil" - it is a high omega 3 coat & skin supplement (food grade cold pressed flaxseed oil). I syringe 20mls daily into his mouth. ( I know they also make this product for dogs). My vet and farrier have both commented recently on how good he is looking since I have started him on the omega 3 supplement.I hope this imformation is of some help to you. I live in Australia.
Good morning doc just stopping in to say good morning and watching your video good interesting stuff I've got a dog with some skin issues right now I'm going to try this your friend Marie from Tennessee have a great day you and Tula❤❤❤
If only there were a veterinarian like you where I live (Germany), my dog may not have taken the harmful medications that you mentioned in the prior videos. Thank you very much for sharing this video, I am now confident that my dog's alopecia is allergic and post-clipping Alopecia. Good Karma will always be with you, Dr. Jones !!
I have a fawn Doberman at first I saw that patchiness I just changed the diet. And it helped a lot! Probiotics helped too. What do you think of fish oil?
I'd love to see a video on color dilute Alopecia (CDA). My silver lab has this and I'm treating it with 3mg melatonin (Pure Encapsulations) in the evening and extra seafood. She's 1 month into treatment and she looks a little better but if there are any other treatments, I'd love to know!
And the question is "is it possible that exist in the vaccines" cause alocepia via hypoadenocorticoism, cushing, hypothroids??Most probably yess after a certain age ,after metabolisms (valid for dogs which had been periodically vaccinated)and free radicals to fight agains foreign subjects loose their defense system or other meds such as corticoseids or even antibiotics which can cause alocepia in both humans&animals. This boy will be tested soon as has been decided in case of a dormant/nonactive cushings and as you know we may not treat it via Vetoryl etc unless it is in active state but only via holistic means. In this case, believe me I wish his results to come positivr this time in order to know what to do...And for environmental allergies nothing to do with multiple dogs ....
My doodle list hair after a steroid injection. Vet said no it's probably his thyroid, another appoint let's test for allergies. I am so tired of vets . Thank you for your channel. God bless you.
I think often times it's the food we are feeding our pets as well as those hybrid flea treatments like Bravecto, and Nexgard, etc. Some animals have terrible reactions to these. My friend gave me a dose of Revolution that he had been giving his dog with no occurance, then I put it on my little Poodle and he almost went into anaphalectic shock! It was all I could do to wash it off five minutes later and give him Benedryl. Some dogs are wired differently.
My dog had a minor surgery down and I noticed that they accidentally shaved part of his tail. You could clearly tell it was shaved because of how perfectly cut it was. But the hair didn’t grow back. In fact, I think it’s getting worse. Not sure what happened. It looks dry and/or flaky. No inflammation. No itchiness.
Not sure if someone will see this but, my dog has bad dandruff and has been losing hair primarily on his body and tail. We've taken him to the vet a few times now and we've been prescribed antibiotics but nothings helped. There's no red spots or anything like that, but he's had scabs on his lips, which the antibiotics helped, but the skin issue still persists. Any suggestions as to what the issue might be, and how to treat it? We think it might be an allergy to something but we've cut out certain foods and treats but it hasn't helped.
We had tests for thyroid, cushing and all resulted fine .Only HAD to come to conclusion that it was due to last rabies vaccine given.Unfortunately ,,it is a senior dog was waiting to reach US AND AS per USDA&CDC we shall still apply yearly rabies vaccine although some brands as you know have legal 3 year coverage as indicated on the brand.
Hey Doc, have a almost 2yr. German Shepherd female ( spayed) has hair loss only near eyes and around nose area. No real redness or inflammation so I believe is an environmental allergy - was prescribed Apoquel and that worked but weaned it off after symptoms were gone and problem returned. After watching this vid it seemed to sound like ringworm. Will maybe try Caniston but wanted to ask what you thought in New Jersey USA.
Go to raw prey diet (BARF) as it fulfills EXACTLY what their body needs & especially what it doesn’t need. Know that spaying & neutering before 6 years of age can cause disruption in endocrine system leading to hormonal damage. Cushings Disease is typical from this disruption. This also causes hair loss on back flank.
THANKS! SHARED THIS OUT. THIS IS A TOUGH ONE, HOW WOULD I GIVE FARELL CATS FLEE MEDS BECAUSE I WONT BE ABLE TO APPLY IT TO THERE SKIN. CAN I PUT IT IN THEIR WATER OR WET FOOD?
Hi how i can talk to you in zoom so i will take for appointment for my dog please im in Dubai i have dog pomeneran and he is 2 years but i bring him to dubai from Georgia and he start have skin infection i treat it and its start his hair doesn’t grow that much good
My Yorkie has alopecia, baldness on her entire back, now her legs are losing hair too😢. Started after her rabies vaccine. Tried melatonin when it started, it didn’t work. Our veterinarian was unconcerned, just said it’s genetic. Should I try melatonin again? Or is it too late?
Meu Yorkshire está com escamas e feridas. Têm 2 meses. Estou tratando com óleo de Melaleuca/ óleo de côco e vinagre de maçã. Boa sorte pra você e seu cãozinho ❤.
I was wondering if my dog which receives a needs on his neck once a month for arthritis could be the reason for his hair loss. His hair on the side of his body is almost gone. Hair on his legs is still there .
I just watched the video talking about thyroid and people when they're saying that it's got a whole lot to do with not having enough iodine and that almost every person the doctor had checked it had a lack of iodine. I guess my question is should we give iodine to dogs since we're not supposed to give them salt
My best guess would be gut health. Focus on stopping the hyperpermeability, increasing the good bacteria, and making sure your dog is on a species appropriate diet. No starches or kibble. Raw works well for my girls. Your other comment about thyroid issues, look into Hemopet if you want to run a full thyroid panel. It's cheaper than if your vet does it. I supplement iodine with kelp powder and it works like a charm. Don't forget to feed seafood or suplement vitamin D3 if the dogs test results come back low.

The fuck why or how did melatonin of all things grow your dogs pubes back
Thank You Andrew for your knowledge and true love to pets!
My pleasure!
Thank you Doc. I'm signed up already. Just the tone of your voice, calms me. In the veterinarian's office..I'm the one that get stressed.
God bless you Dr J. Pro 12:10 A righteous person careth for the needs of his animal. ....
I love how tula just listens and watches dad babble on . She knows hes gonna touch her and use her as a demo dog.
She knows, SHE is the star in the video.
Thank you Dr Jones for this information ❤

Question: could these conditions be caused from store dog foods/ cat foods?
I think often times it's the food we are feeding our pets as well as those hybrid flea treatments like Bravecto, and Nexgard, etc. Some animals have terrible reactions to these. My friend gave me a dose of Revolution that he had been giving his dog with no occurance, then I put it on my little Poodle and he almost went into anaphalectic shock! Especially, Purebreds are sensitive moreso.

In fact, I think it’s getting worse. Not sure what happened. It looks dry and/or flaky. No inflammation. No itchiness.
Can anyone share how many dogs do you have and what are their breeds?
My dog is 19 bald back half of his body. No redness dryness .
My dog has scabs and losing hair but is very active and happy what can it be ?
Thanks a lot ❤

Waitingggggg ❤

Can you go to a vet who will administer the Titers test to see if your dog really needs another vax?

How often should I bathe my dog.
I bathe my dog every two weeks. One good shampoo and a lot of rinsing and he's done. He has a beautiful shiny coat.

Is there a supplement like those chews with passionflower for cats?

Yes you. Can mix it in their food.

I missed the webinar 🙃, is there a re-play?
Which brand of melatonin can I use for dogs?
You need to rethink the Bragg's apple cider vinegar. The owners have changed and they have been accused of watering it down.
Hi how i can talk to you in zoom so i will take for appointment for my dog please im in Dubai i have dog pomeneran and he is 2 years but i bring him to dubai from Georgia and he start have skin infection i treat it and its start his hair doesn’t grow that much good
I haven’t given my Doberman the rabies vaccine yet should I? He’s going to be 2 this year
If you have cases of rabies in wild animals in your area, you must give the vaccine.
How do you apply the melentonin
My Yorkie has alopecia, baldness on her entire back, now her legs are losing hair too😢. Started after her rabies vaccine. Tried melatonin when it started, it didn’t work. Our veterinarian was unconcerned, just said it’s genetic.

There are some good homeopathic remedies I would recommend ppl look into. For colour dilution alopecia, CDA, check cradle cap remedies.
Thanks, I'll look into that. Any brand recommendations?
Tula 😂😂😂😂
Where do you get your neem oil
You can try your local stores or online websites.
@@VeterinarySecrets is it the regular neem oil that people use for plants
🇫🇷💕💜☕️❤️ my shitzu lost hair all the time…

❤Tula
Sodium lauryl sulfate causes hair loss as well and they put it in pet shampoo. Use pet shampoo thats sulfate free 😊
Also what about an animal that has been taken off of apoquel seems to be itching and losing hair

Hair loss for people?
