This video is a spoof. Scott Watson, Scott Kephart, Ron Fitzpatrick, and I had some fun installing the brass made signs on the Military Jeep Display at Ron Fitzpatrick Jeep Parts.

Thank you, now I know some more about the different grills. I must say it was a very good idea to hang them up with their plaques, Willys would be proud.

This is a joke, right? Look at any photos of the preproduction Jeeps, meaning those submitted to the Army for testing purposes and prior to the final MB and GPW design and you can easily follow the evolution of the Jeep grille. The first Bantams looked nothing like the grille supposedly shown as the Bantam.
Fact: The first 25,000 or so MB's used the welded or riveted so called "barbecue grille" shown towards the end of this video. When Ford commenced production of the GPW it made the debut of the stamped slat grille, with 9 slats, which Willys adopted also. After the end of WW2 Willys then trademarked their own 7 slat version for use with the CJ and also M-38's
