Just saw these guys perform for a party at BYU. Afterwards I chased them a floor up to tell them how well they had done. What impressed me the most was how humbled and grateful they all were to me for thanking them. They even started spontaneously chanting my name. This is a fantastic group of human beings. It was amazing to share space with them today. Kilted Bob
Beautiful! A moving reminder that Jesus Christ is an Advocate and Savior for each of us. Such a great way to open the Christmas season and celebrate all that His birth means for the whole human family.
This group is awesome! The talent, warmth, and emotion that they brought to this song is so inspiring to me. I'm grateful to be a small part of their talented team.
It’s been an incredibly difficult year and as I started listening to Christmas music at the beginning of the season I was struggling to find something as the playlists I usually listen to weren’t helping me feel the spirit of the season. I’m so grateful for your cover of this song - you did an amazing job with it and now I listen to it almost daily and it has helped me tremendously. Thank you for truly adding light to the world and to my little corner of it.
Thank you for sharing that. These lyrics hit every time, "So come, though you have nothing. Come, He is the offering. Come, see what your God has done"
Wow! This is such a beautiful cover of this beautiful and powerful song! And I know you all believe and strive to live what you are singing. You have been so kind, sincere, and genuine in your outreach. Beautiful video!
Beautiful, human connection. This is wonderful. A technical observation: it's interesting to me to hear the differences in syllabic emphasis in this generation of YAs compared to that of my BYU days. Then, they would have sung "bro- KEN," instead of "BRO-kin"; "pur-fehkt," instead of "PER-fict," as heard here. Contrast that to my generation of BYU Singers (under the baton of Ron Staheli), who embraced that philosophy of syllabic stress (or de-emphasizing unstressed syllables, as it were) vs the current generation of BYU Singers, which does sing rather syllabically. It all boils down to personal preference and taste -- there truly is no "correct" way -- but I have to say that I do enjoy the modern YAs' approach to intelligibility.
The shortened clip on Insta brought the Christmas spirit for me this year - and I needed it! Thank you for this beautiful, powerful songg of testimony!
Truly because of 3:38 Christ is the reason for the season. Beautifully sung you all touched my heart, especially my grandsons angel voice. Love you Jray ❤❤❤
If you like this song, I highly recommend you look into more of Sovering Grace's music. They currently have at least two Christmas albums out and tons more non-Christmas ones. Merry Christmas! I pray that each of you will celebreate Jesus the Messiah, our Emmanuel, as Scripture alone has revelaed Him to be. Come see what God has done... [1] In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. [2] He was in the beginning with God. [3] All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. [4] In him was life, and the life was the light of men. [5] The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. [6] There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. [7] He came as a witness, to bear witness about the light, that all might believe through him. [8] He was not the light, but came to bear witness about the light. [9] The true light, which gives light to everyone, was coming into the world. [10] He was in the world, and the world was made through him, yet the world did not know him. [11] He came to his own, and his own people did not receive him. [12] But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, [13] who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God. [14] And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. - John 1:1-14

We LOVE Sovereign Grace's music and that passage in John is choice. Thanks for sharing!
LYRICS:
O come, all you unfaithful
Come, weak and unstable
Come, know you are not alone
O come, barren and waiting ones
Weary of praying, come
See what your God has done
Christ is born, Christ is born
Christ is born for you
O come, bitter and broken
Come with fears unspoken
Come, taste of His perfect love
O come, guilty and hiding ones
There is no need to run
See what your God has done
He's the Lamb who was given
Slain for our pardon
His promise is peace
For those who believe
He's the Lamb who was given
Slain for our pardon
His promise is peace
For those who believe
So come, though you have nothing
Come, He is the offering
Come, see what your God has done
Christ is born, Christ is born
Christ is born for you
Christ is born, Christ is born
Christ is born for you
This is absolutely beautiful. Can you tell me where to find the score?
So Beautiful ! Where can I get this arrangement? Thanks
I've been online too long....I genuinely kept expecting this to have some anti Christ punchline somewhere and instead it was actually quite beautiful....and yes I didn't realize what channel I was on until after the fact lol
This song is original to sovereign grace music from the album “heaven has come” :)
@@laurieviane thanks for the information
which is an incredible album--their other songs are amazing, too
I don’t know what kind of version this is. But it’s meant to be Oh Come All Ye Faithful. Not UNfaithful.
This is amazing! 😊
Thank you! 😄
