I have never commented before on RUclips but if there was a time for me to do it, it was today. Today I was saved. Our church was having a moment today for newcomers, troubled ones, anyone who wants to become baptized, and so on. This song played the during that moment and I felt the lord doing his work. I tried denying that it was my time to go up - fearing the humility. Thinking I should wait for my Christian parents who were supposed to be there so they could bear witness. Scared to repent but unaware at the time, but the lord gave me strength. I looked behind me to a family friend and they guided me up while I was deep in tears and I prayed with the pastor, felt the Holy Spirit course through me, and was later welcomed by the everyone who attended. I drove home sobbing feeling pain and suffering in my heart just crying out to the lord for forgiveness. This song will forever be a reminder to the day I was saved, my testimony, and my connection to Jesus Christ and his father
We are rejoicing with you that the Lord has opened your eyes to his forgiveness and mercy! After your Bible, two good books to read about forgiveness are The Cross Centered Life by C.J. Mahaney, and In Christ Alone by Sinclair Ferguson. Keep making much of Jesus!
amen, He is faithful "so that ye come short in no gift, awaiting the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ; who shall also confirm you to the end, unimpeachable in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is faithful, by whom ye have been called into the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord. (1 Corinthians 1:7-9)"
I almost choked on my ginger ale and bursted into tears so hard while making dinner for my son that i had to run to the bathroon for a towel. Ive been seeking deliverance from stubborn sin and unrepentance for a while now been crying at certain worship music with certain notes and messages. Been listening to Christian music on and off on the local radio in the car. Noticed my Autistic son who is Audible but non verbal to a degree took a vocal singing liking to O come O Ye Faithful which is one of my favorite Christmas songs. Played this when I got home and started making dinner.
Love this- it's musically beautiful and theologically rich! The church needs more songs that sing gladness out of sorrow, acknowledging the lament over brokenness and finding joy in the matchless gift of God. Can't wait to teach it to my congregation!
3 weeks before my grandmother passed away, shs accepted Jesus Christ as her personal saviour and said to me, "Jesus loves you." She was baptised the day before she joined God's house up in the Heavens.
Every now and then you hear a song that is a gut punch, humbling you and reminding you of just how beautiful that Gift of Jesus is. This is one of those songs. Just beautiful.
I'm reduced to a puddle. I have never heard this before today. I came to Christ older so didn't grow up in church. What. A. Song. SO beautiful and so perfectly done! Thank you
love love love this...I just lost my sweet dog companion and my heart has been in pieces. I went through a hellish divorce just a little over a year ago and it truly was Jesus who is the healer and bringer of comfort and peace and promise.
I just discovered this song this month. It's one of my all time favorite songs of any genre. It's a year round song that's especially meaningful in the Advent season.
This is my favorite song. Raw and real. Embodies the gospel as the good news for the broken, and that's me. Hallelujah that Christ was born for me and for you!!!
What a beautiful song...one of our worship leaders, who is also the leader of our Celebrate Recovery chapter, played this song for our CR group last night. It's been out for four years but I had never heard it before. It sure does fit right in with our recovery people, but it's messege is there for all...What a blessing !!!
Thank you This is a Christmas song that feels like it was written just for me. Thank you Christmas is miserable when you're alone. Why even bother with a tree or decorations if nobody will see them, nobody will put a present under that tree? Right now, listening to this song, I don't feel so alone.
Christmas is not about this worlds gifts, Christmas is to remember what Jesus was sent to do and did. Dont lose the fullness of.the reason. Jesus is with you so know you arent alone. Also, you have brother and sisters in Christ
This is a perfect hymn for those of us that are not always faithful, joyful, or triumphant at times. I have been the broken, the weak, the unstable, and the unfaithful one, too.
I love how she's wearing common clothes. The beauty of this is the whole video and song are for everyone. We're all common but all worthy of His love. He came for all of us.
I've never heard this song before. My 2024 has been so so so awful and religious people have treated me like I am nothing because of what has happened to me, but it's sinners and the broken who need a savior. They can think they're perfect all they want. I'm happy to be a big giant mess because it means I need God more.
Amen. I lost my dad in January of 2017. He was placed in hospice just before Christmas. It probably sounds weird to say this, but that may have been our best Christmas ever. None of us cared what gifts we got. The commercialism completely lost its appeal. It was all about Jesus. The reality of our brokenness made the coming of Jesus even sweeter. In Him, we already had the greatest gift of all. Not even death could take that away from us.
Last year, around that time, I was grieving the loss of my mom, a strong woman. She gave her life to Jesus at 65 . Today, still painful but happy she is with our Lord. It is never too late.
What a beautiful song! Thank you so much. I’m an old man going thru some rough times and this hit me right in the feels! God is always perfect with His timing!!!
I had expected this song to be a new rendition of the original hymn...but I had misread the title... It wasn't what I expected, but it was SO MUCH BETTER! Beautiful lyrics and melody and God-centered...😊👏
What a beautiful song to celebrate this advent season and Christ's birth! What a God we have that He would condescend Himself to be born without the curse of sin to a virgin peasant then scorned and mocked by the very people that awaited His arrival. He then took the sins of all generations of those who would believe upon Himself and drank the full cup of God The Father's wrath on our behalf so that we may be risen with Him from death to life everlasting.
I heard this tonight at Celebrate Recovery. It was humbling, beautiful, amazing. Sometimes we struggle. It’s so nice to be reminded Christ is born for you.
Amen and AMEN! Mark 10:27 Looking at them, Jesus *said, “With people it is impossible, but not with God; for all things are possible with God.” BTW, for the Grace of God, I just celebrated 5 years of sobriety and 3 years in the Lord.
AMEN🙌🏿🙌🏽🙌🏼🙌🙌🏻🙌🏾 The wicked doesn't understand that the faithful has a past worse than the things that are done today in these streets..That preacher, choir singer, Usher plate collection barrier, first lady the band etc..a lot of them ran the streets and a lot of them use to run the streets .They know, and the Lord knows that they could take over if they were to go back into the world, but because of their new hearts, minds, and sight they'll just remain obedient and leave it all up to God..Those who the Lord has changed were worse than the police so imagine a changed officer when they get mad😂 Come all ye unfaithful to a church to get those demons prayed up out of you😔 Thank you for this🙌🏾🙌🙌🏼🙌🏽🙌🏿
I shared those tears. Those fears. The pain and regret. The sin that condemns me and the things that enslave me. Until the power and truth of this song centers me on that glorious gospel. Thank you Bob, Lisa, the crew, and the family in Christ who were transparent enough to let us see all of their reactions so that our eyes are turned to Jesus yet again through song.
How on earth can the singer get through this song without bawling? Honestly, I feel the spirit so strongly and I want to sing it so badly but I cannot listen to it without crying 😭🧡
WOW!! … and that is an understatement! I was introduced to this song today at church by a brother who knew and loved it. He had not seen this rendition, but it was the one that came up when he searched on RUclips. We watched it and cried together. What a powerful message, and the young lady sings it with her beautiful voice and with great feeling! This is an “instant favorite” and will become part of my collection of favorite Christmas songs. - Chris
What is most impactful about this song (other than the lyrics)is knowing that they captured genuine reactions to hearing this song for the first time. Ugh. if that doesn't make you grab a tissue, you have a heart of stone.
This song has touched my soul on Christmas Day when we celebrate Jesus birth, beautiful voice and good images of those touched by our Savior. Thank you and God bless you.
How beautiful and needed. What a wonderful time in history to be reminded of Christ coming to be born a baby in a broken world. Oh let's keep putting Christ first in our thoughts. He is the only true way.
God did not only call the faithful ones, but also the unfaithful. 🥺🙏🏼❤ Thank you JESUS for your mercy and grace! Sang this last Sunday. Tho my voice is shaky and NOT at its best but I just want to share how this song touched me in a very deep and special way.
It's not Christmas anymore, but I'm still listening to this song and crying every time- come, see what your God has done! He is amazing and loves us so much! This song is a great reminder of that. I am a failure, weak and broken. I would be hopeless without my wonderful saviour. But he is born for me and you! Praise God!
My friend recommended this song to me just recently after Christmas. I feel like this is a Christmas song but also a song for all seasons. This song is so relatable because as much as we would love to think of ourselves as faithful all the time, we do fall and make mistakes and find ourselves in unfaithful situations. But the beauty is that The Lord is always waiting for us - He is always calling us back into His faithful arms. He came for us all because we all need a Savior.
Yes her name is Lisa Clow. Been looking everywhere for her since the "prayers of the saints" album. Her voice is strikingly piercing. Grateful for you sovereign Grace music. Thank you.
Usherette, thank you for your kind words! If you're interested, I have a (very boring)instagram account for my music @lisaclowmusic and you can also just search "Lisa Clow" here on youtube and a number of old personally recorded videos and covers of songs come up if you'd like to find more music of mine. 💛
I’m not Sovereign Grace’s biggest fan but what they’ve done with this song is absolutely delightful and glorifies Christ greatly. What a beautiful and humbling song.
If I ever hear this song and not weap, I will know that I have taken His grace for granted. "See what your God has done. " I will never comprehend it until I see Him face to face.
I literally did not read the title thought it was the o come all ye faithful, typical Christmas song, then....bald my eyes out first sentence of this beautiful song! Oh my oh my!!! How beautiful 😍 ❤
Praise God from whom all blessings flow, and thank Him for all those through whom he sends those blessings. This song and performance lifts me and will help lift millions more, thanks to another great blessing_the internet.
Just found this amazing song. I'm so thankful to the Lord for it and for His amazing grace and love as shown through it. I can't wait to share this song with our church on Sunday. To Him be all the honor and glory! Thank you Sovereign Grace Music!!
Thank you, Sovereign Music proclaiming God's faithfulness, and His Holiness through songs and for always keeping it Christ-Centered and His Word Centered.❤
Great song and not just for Christmas! Ideal song for services that folk turn up to once a year though. Strong personal message. I find that having been in church for seventy plus years my awareness and interest is encouraged by good additions to the repertoire whereas those who visit infrequently are disturbed that we're not still locked into 19th century hymns.
Beautiful song. Thank you for posting! I really look forward to this album. I like that the "O come" is that same ad ins "O come all ye faithful." It's a nice nod to the traditional Christmas song while pointing to a different truth.
“"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor." And he began to say to them, "Today this Scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing."” Luke 4:18-19, 21 ESV
This is so beautiful. As someone who hasn’t been to church for four years, it’s a reminder that Christ isn’t found in the church alone, not do they own him. He belongs to us all and He calls us all. Come to me....
Bob and Lisa thank you so much for your faithfulness in exercising your gifts to bless us! What a wonderful and beautiful song that I am sure will encourage many!
We’re singing this at my chorus and we just sang it all the way through with everyone and it gave me the chills. Such a beautiful song love it. Plus it’s worship! More points towards being my fav!
Thanks guys. This song has caused me to cry, caused me to smile, and caused me to remember the Babe of Bethlehem and caused me to look forward with anticipation to the second coming. We're singing it again at our Carol Service this Saturday. Your music ministry is a blessing to our church.
Wow! Wow! Wow! I can’t stop listening to this song! Wow! I have already shared it with dozens! May the Lord bless you as you continue to share with the world so vulnerably and beautifully.

This song clearly expresses the fact that Jesus loves us all including the unfaithful, the outcast and the Marginalised
We are all at some point unfaithful. That's what makes this song. We all are invited to come to Christ.

Not at 'some point', but essentially all the time from God's point of view.
Never have I read a more reformed song title.
It’s funny because it’s true lol
my thoughts exactly!!
And ironically you can't actually "come" unless you're one of the elect 😂

Thanks guys. This song has caused me to cry, caused me to smile, and caused me to remember the Babe of Bethlehem and caused me to look forward with anticipation to the second coming. We're singing it again at our Carol Service this Saturday. Your music ministry is a blessing to our church.
My aunt sent me this to hear, and I respected God before, but know I respect Him even more. This song made my day❤️
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of Wisdom. We all keep "beginning"
