Honestly so far I thought the only good bands they have uploaded are August Burns Red which fucking killed it out there..and Miss May I did an amazing job as usual too. Got to hand it to New Years Day. They are pretty damn good live as well.

@@bringmetheprotips9402 I agree, and by killing the crowd's sound the part of that line "then bloods gonna spill" is missing after "no other choice" or even worse the lead singer's voice was muted then. The latter is more likely because the song was performed to the public for the first time, so they could not know the lyrics yet. If you found an unedited version, pls post us a link. THX

@ It's not so much that they're bad, it's just that Ash is always running around and trying to interact with people. Watch a performance by The Haxans where she isn't moving around that much, I promise there's a big difference.

Now it's time for me to preach: Lately I've been scrolling through the comments and it was saying they suck live. -.- Bish where???? They give all they have and look like they have fun especially the gutarists and bassist. I've never seen headbanging so hard cx. Unlike Black Veil Brides Ashely sings more than the backup vocals. (I'm still learning names I just started listening to them.) But yea. I'd like to see you do an almost hour show without taking breaks and passing out from large crowds.

Honestly Ash sounds great in all these Warped Tour tips. But in all the recent performances I've seen, from this year's tour, she can't sing for shit. So yeah, I'm confused as to why she can't sing outside of Warped Tour. And don't get me wrong, I actually like NYD in the studio

What does Evanescence have to do with them? The only things they can have in common are the female singer and gothic style, otherwise nothing .
And Evanescence are even better known and are older, more able in this but l hope NYD will be able to get on their level too. Amy Lee has an angelic voice, I live l always liked listening to her, you can see that she likes to sing for real not just for money. And she is very good with piano.
While Ashley often in live seems to "drop" with her voice, sometimes is too raspy, not in tune and her screams seem too much forced. That's my opinion.
But there also times when l like to hear her, for example acoustic versions.
When she is relaxed, she can be very good l think.
Don't think that l just insulted her, because if l didn't like her at all, l wouldn't come her to see this live of this beautiful fucking death song.

I love her too and this fact happens costantly during live shows. She struggles to keep the high notes ,to control her breathing and you can see that she cant resist for more than 1 hour at a full concert ......in fact her bassist helps her a lot .
I dont want to say that she isnt able to sing , if she is a singer of a band it means that she is talented for example she writes and scream very well ......but she needs to train more, more and more than this.
She looks good live too but the crowd doesnt seem intrested

I realy like NYD, especially new work like Epidemic nad Malevolence. I like how they sound, I like Ash onstage image. But i think makeup and weird clothes on guys are lame. And something important... in 1:48 AGAIN we can hear playback. I saw few live shows of NYD and few times I hear that Ash need some "technical support". Anyway, Its great new generation band and I cross my fingers for them, maybe they can fix that in future.

I agree. It think Ashley should take vocal lessons of singing lessons to help with her breathing technique because she recently started using alot of playback and backtracks since she gets out of breath easy.

Gonna see them play in May. She sounds good live but doesn't have much of a stage presence.
I've seen countless performances from them and they just never sound good at all honestly, and I like most of their songs.
Well , the test of The Band is good .....Ashley is miserable instead . And you know l like all the songs , she writes very well .....she needs to train more and more and more than this.

Ash is a bad ass and I will forever love NYD but this crowd is lame and the drummer was off time like a muthafucka at least in the beginning. Also, I noticed their sound isn't as full live as it is on the album

and this is why you don't over do it in the studio and sing things you can't pull off live. I mean its not too bad, i have definitely heard way worse. the mix is also horrible too, if Warp Tour would freaking actually try to get good sound production for once i might actually go lol.
+Josiah Orsie I urge you to show me a single band that sounds the exact same live as they do in studio. If that was the idea then people would just buy the 10 quid album and not go see the 30 quid gig.
I never said anything about a band sounding the same in studio as live I merely said they shouldn't use all of the effects and processing as they do in studio if she can't pull it off vocally live. And there are plenty of bands that sound even better live than in studio. Such as . civil twilight , Radiohead , elbow... Etc. She just doesn't have it live that's all there is too it. I think she should work on her live performance or just make their albums more raw so they can do it justice live. When I hear a bands album and then go to hear them live . I don't expect them to sound the same at all but I do expect them to be tight, and polished and sing in key as they show they can do on their album. Its misleading... That's all.
+Josiah Orsie Funny the band I like Delain is far better live then on the albums. Though I do like the albums. Then again I think it has to do with the fact that the lead Singer of Delain learned how to sing.
:) yes lots of the bands I like are amazing live and that's how it should be because that's how they really are. There is too much studio doctoring involved in music these days
