- Our last day together on March 29, 2020, Unfortunately, Sai couldn't come back to Australia as they closed the borders to international tourists due to the Pandemic. We are still split up but planning to re-unite in March 2021.

I had a similar experience, When I was in the Army, My Girlfriend was a beautiful Vietnamese girl. My time in the Army was over and I had to return to the USA so I promised her that I would return for her. We wrote letters back and forth while I was gone, So after 2 1/2 years I was able to return to Vietnam and we got married. After 43 wonderful years of marriage, 3 children and 4 grandchildren she died from a stroke. Our marriage was a lifelong marriage.

You two look great together. I know exactly what you're going through because I went through it also with my wife. She was in the Philippines and I had to do the two-year writing letters and phone calls before she could get a green card so we could get married in 1993. She died nine years ago of thyroid cancer and I've missed her dearly every day since then. I love watching you two because you remind me so much of what I used to have and I hope you both grow old, grey, and happy together in a long life.

The watery eyes when you parted at the bus station. I know that exact feeling, when I dropped of my girlfriend at the airport the first time. A 5 ft girl with a huge suitcase, travelling alone, half way across the world, to visit her family for the first time in 6 years... Very emotional feeling. Mate. My wife and I went through something like this. When we applied for her residency visa, she had to go back to Hong Kong and wait for the visa. She was out of Australia for almost two years. I did a few trips over there, but they were all in the first year. Due to various circumstances, I didn’t end up going over during the second year. When the visa finally came through, we were finally able to bring her home. As a surprise to her, I actually flew to HK the night before and surprised her at the gate for the flight home by sneaking up behind her with a bouquet of flowers for her. She had no idea I had planned this and loved it.
I was in a similar situation to you. Because my wife had family in the military it took us 4 years to get a Visa to come to new Zealand. I was a total train wreck the first time I had leave Cambodia. I had to be baby sitted for a week before I could even handle daily life without my sweet hart .it never got any easier. In the end I decided to buy a house and live with my sweet hart in Cambodia. After a year immigration nz decided that I wasn't messing around and came to the party.
I was a little surprised that Adam wanted to go back to Australia with out sai. But I think he can't wait to go to Thailand to see his honey.
Bruce Sieverts ouch. I feel for you mate. It was hard enough for us to wait more or less 18 months. As for Adam. Some of those south East Asian countries kicked all foreigners out during the peak of the pandemic. Indonesia definitely did. There were thousands of Australians scrambling to get flights back here before the deadline. Once the deadline hit, they were fining people every day they stayed there past the deadline. So I would not be surprised if Thailand did something similar.

This chokes me up 🥺 love has no boundaries nor time.. I met a beautiful lady online 6 years ago from the Philippines and because of my financial situation I still haven't met her yet but we have faith that God will bring us together.. Adam and Sai, never give up on each other. Love you guys!❤️
I really feel for you both. I have similar scenario and haven’t seen my girl since December 2019. Fingers crossed we can get around this and meet our respective partners with minimal financial consequences and time restraints.

Thank you for the memories. I found it enjoyable but yet sad. Sai looks like she is doing well as she fixes her house, rides her new motorcycle, making her food. You have done a lot fir her, you changed her life providing information and opportunities she would not have known. I hope to return n March as well, if all goes as planned.

Been in this situation. My wife is an incredible Costa Rican woman. The years of seperation made us stronger.
We arrived from America on March 1st. As everything was going into shutdown mode. In hindsight do you wished you had stayed? We sure miss your videos. Good luck with coming back. Adam I know the pain you're going through not be able to be Sai ..When I married my wife in the Philippines I had to come back to United States by myself it was hard for both of us it took her approximately one year before she was able to come to United States we were very Bless that she came in March 2019 one year before the pandemic believe me things will get better and you will be with sai once again and also say hello to the good looking son of yours . Hey dude. I've been following your channel for a while now and I guess Im in kind of a similar situation.
In March 2019 I split up with my Thai gf and moved back to my hometown in The Netherlands. Before that we were together literally 24/7 for over a year. We still do videocalls every single day but we haven't been able to physically meet for almost 2 years now.
This is the second time that we had to split up for a while, and even though it's hard, we are both still very confident that we can wait for each other and we plan to meet again as soon as our governments allow us to travel again.
We spent our time apart making sure to get both of our financial situations to a point where either she can come to me or I can go to her as soon as the travel restrictions ease. We're just waiting for the green light now.
I just want to tell you this: if my girlfriend and I can do this, you two can do it for sure! Just be patient, it will be more than worth it! Nothing beats the feeling of closing your loved one in your arms after having been separated for a while.

Totally sucks, I have a girl in Thailand as well. Like you, I am based in Melbourne. Hopefully sometime in 2021 we can get back together. But I am tipping it might be more like 2022 or 2023 before the travel industry is restored to pre covid conditions.

Speaking from experience after being married to a Thai National with "jai dee" for 4 years, you had better marry that woman if you have any sense in you.
I know what you both are going through. I was due to get married and move to the Philippines and then boom the pandemic came and the airports been closed to foreigners.
