I will need one of these in the future. I have spent hours watching demonstrations and this is the one I will buy. I am impressed how easy it is to maintain and repair. I like the fact that the cables are exposed so if there is a cable issue it can be seen. The first thing I was looking for was a light scooter. The second thing was the quality of the build. My only concern is the breaking system.
It depends. Does the person with one leg have a prosthetic? If not, where is the cutoff point? Everybody is different. I would think the swivel method to be the best though.
The amputation is on the left s j.g de above knee. We generally use the swivel method, short leg first. Just wondering if you might of had a different idea

The TravelScoot has a built-in throttle-response delay to avoid backward tipping. Also, we offer baskets for purchase at a reasonable cost (not every customer wants a basket). Looks like there no arm rest, no flat foot plate, no place to hold and secure heavy needed items, mostly metal bars, people who are disable don't used a scooter just to ride around up and down and in circle on a flat surface specially in a city. There are too much hand adjustment to be done for someone who can't reach around or bend over this is only for someone who can stand up very well and stable on their feet with strong back, arms, and hands that have good hand and fingers movement. Why they always have regular health men demonstrating wheelchair for the disable.

The TravelScoot is designed for people who have discomfort and/or fatigue-related walking difficulty but who are otherwise mobile, and need the absolutely lightest, strongest and most portable scooter. Yes, some hand dexterity is required, as would be the case with anything that folds up. Mobility challenges vary greatly, and can be as simple as someone just recovering from foot surgery, or as complex as MS, post-polio etc. Our video just demonstrates some very basic techniques and precautions about getting on and off, and is not meant to be a performance demo. What is the best way for a person with one leg to get off and on
