- In this video, I am kayak creek crappie fishing, I show you how to catch crappie with 0 electronics whether you are crappie fishing from the boat, bank, or kayak. I teach you how to fish bends and ledges in the creek as well. If you learn how to fish these areas in the creek, your creek crappie fishing will improve tremendously! These areas will typically hold creek crappie because the current has eroded away and made these places deeper than most other parts of the creek. Hey 903. Awesome video and crappies. Would it be ludicrous to shallow back up after going six feet down before you move. Maybe the crappie moved up in the water column, and your jig is now below them. Thanks for the advice and information.

Nice catch man!! What size braid and jighead size were you using?
10# ACC braid and I was using a 1/16thoz jig head!
What size is that cormel bobber, also which color do u prefer. I’m gonna have to buy them online seems as if the Walmart near me never has them.
The cork itself is 1.5 inch. And I am color blind so I prefer the yellow. I can see it best

What length do you adjust your cork when they aren’t biting at a certain depth? I tend to adjust a 12-16” up or down but not sure if that is too much?
Nothin wrong with that. I usually go a foot at a time! So 12 inches!
how do you tell the difference in white and black crappie without the stripes when they arent all colored up?
They are definitely shaped different. And white crappie have bigger mouths than a black crappie!
These creeks that you fish . How far from the main lake are you. My trouble is not knowing how far I need to go into these creeks at the lake I fish
Usually the first couple bends will hold fish from the main lake!

Yeah that could explain it. But I will say crappie will go up as far as the bait does. So all creeks are different.

Great video! You kept saying you have to know Crappie are in your creek. How did you know they were there with no electronics?
To be honest, I have fished this creek in the past. And the only way to really know is to fish it anyone.
You don’t know if you don’t go ! Sometimes it’s a success sometimes it’s not . That also doesn’t mean that area isn’t good at certain times! There is zero substitute for time on the water . You can not catch them sitting at home wondering if they are biting or wondering if they are in a spot . Go find out in person . Do work son!
My line/jig wraps around my bobber when I toss it out. What am I doing wrong?
How long is your leader? I keep mine no longer than 12 inches!
@ I don’t use a leader.. maybe that’s the problem lol. I just put on the slip bobber with bobber stops/beads.
What kind of kayak is that?
