Who made the choice to send the fresh rookie to the most controversial officer in the department, with probably the most complaints and internal investigations on them?!? 😂
I always wondered this. I know it’s like the 90s - early 2000s, but he must have a trail of paperwork. Who was the dumbass that said “yea this is a great person to train a rookie narcotics detective” 😂😂
I believe Denzel was recruiting him. Remember the part where he said I been planning this all weak. He probably seen his file and vouched for him to come to his team. That way he had the perfect rookie he thought to pull off his heist on Roger
i put lives at risk when i drive like this, i put wives at risk with a knife like this. Shit, you probably in your tape deck now, im the backseat of your truck with duct tape stretched out, ducked the fuck way down, waiting to straight jump out, put it over your mouth and grab you by the face, what now?
What was always crazy about this movie for me is that parts of it were filmed in the neighborhood I grew up in, in Watts. There was also a scene filmed in a house that was directly across the street from the one I lived in. There's even a part where they drive through the projects, and my dad was in the background (out of focus) buying ice cream for me and my brother. I was too young to know or remember anything about it, but whenever we watched this movie, my dad would tell us about when they were filming it.
Bruh that’s what’s up. My moms dad, so my grandfather lived in Watts too. I remember when the movie came out I was tripping hard how they were able to film in some of those areas. My Yt friends were like what’s the big deal. I just shook my head and was like y’all not gonna get it. 🫡
When they had snoop dogg, he told Denzel “put me in the front seat wit em!”. Bc he wanted to fight Jake, and since he was in a wheelchair, he can only fight wit his hands by both of them sitting in the front seat of a car 😂 😂
Fun fact: I watch them film this scene on Crenshaw across the from the Baldwin hills Crenshaw plaza. And I also saw Snoop Dogg again when he filmed baby boy a block over from my house. He a legend.
My dad actually owns the same model pistol that Denzel Washington's character uses in this movie, a Smith & Wesson model 457 (or something very similar), same coloring/finish, grip, iron sights, and barrel length.
Crazy thing is that this movie was based on a real guy. His name's Rafael Pérez. He's still alive. He got caught and convicted instead of getting lit up at the end.
I took so long to finally watch this movie cuz Denzel is easy top 3 for me. Made me sad asl seeing my GOAT crashed out. Boi went out dancin Man On Fire is literally Red Dead Redemption in a movie bro i swear
In real life, Lonzo should've gone to his wife instead of his side chick for the 2nd time that day. Or as soon as he got the money, he should've taken it to the Russians.
Syn you should react to classic Kung Fu movies, no copyright you'd have an endless supply of material and footage and it's straight hands, what's not to like. Start with Quentin tarantino Iron monkey
Bad opinion. There's so many movies out there he can do from past to present. It's all how he wants to deliver the material. No movie is out dated when you write a good script to it.

When they had snoop dogg, he told Denzel “put me in the front seat wit em!”. Bc he wanted to fight Jake, and since he was in a wheelchair, he can only fight wit his hands by both of them sitting in the front seat of a car 😂 😂

The police are just state sanctioned gangs at the end of the day. The drug units are usually the worst.
