We don't like immigration agents - the ones' that aren't authorized by ICCRC and qualified to help you with your application in exchange for money - first of all, it's not legal to do that, and second of all, it's so easy that you don't really need paid help! We are a young couple who started their Canadian Immigration journey in 2018 and moved to Canada 3 days before the pandemic hit in March 2020. Over the course of our application, we have seen so many people getting screwed over by greedy / fraudulent and unauthorized immigration consultants who promise you the world in exchange for thousands of dollars and deliver a whole lot of NOTHING; to an extent that in many cases, the applications get rejected, due to their negligence.
Therefore, we are taking matters in our own hands. So you have to mention the whole history the day you left India till current address info. This will include time period you stayed on which address for how long and also have to mention the time period if you visited India in between everything should be in one flow so basically you have to prove the total time period without any gaps be care full with the dates on passport write the same as on your visa stamps.

I remained on 3 different designation
1 retail store worker-28 June 2010 to 15 December 2010 (duration 05 Months 17 Days)
2. Retail store supervisor 15 December 2010 to 01 September 2018 (duration 07 years 08 months 17 days)
3. Assistant retail manager- noc 0621 from 01 September 2018 till to date. (duration 02 years 10 months and 28 days)
I have noticed the mistake as per record and informed the Human Resource manager to rectify this mistake and issue a new reference letter with correct dates and timelines. They agree to issue a new reference letter.

Will it be considered as my work experience for the Express Entry as the Dealership is only like a shop or local store rather than a Company?

Primary applicant - completely necessary
Secondary applicant - necessary only if spouse has canadian experience and you are claiming points for it. If not then you can put it as part of personal history. We did the same with Simran's experience

Hello! I and my wife don't want to seek experience letter from our current organisations as it would create unnecessary noise and trouble.
1)Excluding current experience, we both have >3 years of experience
2)We have experience letters for our primary NOC from our past companies

2) what if employer offered me cash job but dont have any supporting documents like bank statements or receipts. What's the alternative for the same?

I have ~15 years of experience and I changed 6 jobs. Currently, I'm a product Manager (NOC 0) and in the past I started my career as a software engineer. Do I need experience letter from all the jobs? My wife worked as a freelancer / part-time for many years. Do we need experience letter for her jobs as well? If yes, will that be counted? Please let us know. Thanks.
1. Ideally, yes - you should get for all jobs to reduce complications
2. You can skip secondary applicant's work ex because you aren't claiming points for it

What does affidavit reference letter means
1) Should it be simple notarized
2) or should it be notarized (with currency note printed at top)

My question is that if I have experience of 3+ years with my past company and approx 1 year in my current company, I am very apprehensive about disclosing about my PR aspirations to the current employer just yet, can I instead just provide my previous company's reference letter or would I need even the current company's letter despite lesser experience?

My question is a bit specific to the NOC code 4012 - University research assistant, teaching assistant or tutor - I have worked fulltime for 2 years 3 months and I have 18 months of university experience as a tutor and a research aide.
Q1. Do I need to get a different reference letter from all the departments that I have worked at the university even though my paycheck comes under the same name of the university?
Q2. Do I need to have a continuous of 1 year of experience at my university being a tutor or a research assistant. or having that experience - 9 months tutor 1 job, 3 months tutor 2 job and 6 months research assistant job- does this experience count as a total of 3 or more years of work experience including the previously mentioned 2 years 3 months of experience?

I am confused whether to choose noc 2173 - Software engineers and designers or noc 2283 - Information systems testing technicians. If i mention software engineer in reference letter it make confusion with roles and responsibilities right?

Thanks a lot for the effort you are taking to get us through the process! My company has provided me with the Experience Letter in the exact same format, however, due to legal limitations, they cannot mention my salary- I have an email that mentions this issue. If a provide my salary slips, offer letter, salary revision letter. Would that be sufficient?
I'm a lawyer, I worked under a lawyer, so I have to ask him to make me a reference letter. So the PR people will confirm from the Lawyer only or through any other way too?
And if I'm practicing independently so to prove I just have to show clients reference and payment details? What about the hours worked in a week? And what kind of payment details will be valid or good enough? Please share information about the format of client reference too.

Maybe ask a coullegue / ex boss to write a ref letter along with the docs you have... Your best bet is that!

For express entry, you need 3+ years in last 10 years... if you have that, then you are good 👍

You need 3 years of exp in 10 years to get full.points... thats the min exp you need to.prove.

Say I have worked in different roles in the same company or another company, do I need to mention different NOC codes in my application? For example, I am currently working as a Manager - Brand Management in an e-commerce company, but previously I was working as a Buyer in another eCommerce company. Roles and responsibilities are 80% similar in both my jobs.

1)Is it compulsory to mention on top of the reference letter that it is for Immigration purpose to Canada, or simply we can write "To whomsoever it may concern" as is generally written by many companies...
2) If one is still working in the company or is serving the notice period after the ITA is received, and the last working date is a future date then what should be mentioned in the reference letter in terms of "date worked to" or is it fine if the employer mentions that the last working date is some future date...??

Hey guys thanks a lot for this. Can you throw some light on how a letter from a colleague should be written. Does it also need to be on a company letter head? What if all the colleagues who have worked with you have also resigned/retired?
Quick question, in the Express Entry profile, do we need to show our entire work experience or shall we only show the ones for which we are claiming points? Such as if I have worked 5 jobs in the last 10 years, would it be OK for me to show only 4 out of those? Or will it be considered misrepresentation? Why I ask this is mainly due to the fact that in a lot of cases the job may be too old, the HR manager/reporting manager may have moved to a different company and may not be able to help out, what if the present-day entire staff consists new faces in the same company where one worked perhaps 8 years ago making it even more difficult to get a reference letter? What's your view on this?

Excellent work being done by you two! Had a query. What would be the list of documents to submit and the relevant formats for a freelancer with respect to reference letter? To be precise, a freelancing piano teacher who is not associated with any institute or business, but home tutors clients.

Question - The reference letter that I got from my employer does not mention the HR personnel's contact details but it includes the company information like Telephone, fax, etc. on the letterhead. Is that fine? I work at one of the Big 4s so it's a well known company but wanted to make sure if i still need this contact info of the HR person.

But working as a freelance artist/designer as of April 2020. I do not have a registered business. But can get reference letters from all my clients. So do i need to register my business before thinking about Canada immigration?
