I have very fond memories of this. There were other 'special' scenes that weren't shown here like the party boat, the planes flying overhead as well, which might not have been 'story' scenes, but were significant. I also remember this ran a hell of a lot better on my old 386 DX 33MHz processor than it did on any pentium or above. :)
Whoa! I didn't know there even was a story! Things like these scenes seemed to happen so randomly and infrequently that it was hard to piece everything together. Great job putting it all together!
Love this! The ironic part is despite all the effort put into this screensaver, it's functionally one of the worst options for a screensaver since large portions of the screen remain static for long periods of time, which doesn't reduce CRT burn-in lol

Screensavers planet has a guide that'll show you how to set it up on modern Windows using DOSbox! So it's still doable in a sort of 16-bit emulated environment like that.
I could've been hours in front of the computer looking at this screensaver. It was, by far, one of my favorites when I was little. But I don't remember watching any of these scenes...
I will always keep a old computer for johnny lol. (just in case). Using a VM felt different :) The small 14" CRT screen that takes up the whole surface of the desktop such charm :p Now they fit an entire mobile computer for the size of the panel ^^
We must have had this on our PC for five years straight and I still haven't seen more than half of these scenes before - thanks for sitting it out to capture them for us! Still can't get over how good they managed to make the graphics in standard Windows 16 colour mode, without even changing the palette. Or how much stuff was crammed into two floppies' worth of data.

TBH though, by the time this was released (mid 90's I believe?) burn-in really wasn't common on most decent monitors anyway.
Not exactly, every 5 or 10 minutes it will change the layout.
What about the scene where he gets drunk on the boat and comes back to the island trashed and dancing?
