    I would totally suggest getting a forehead thermometer. Trying to put a thermometer any other way for more than 5 seconds with a fussy sick baby is next to impossible. Plus, you can easily check back on them during the night with the forehead one without having to wake them up. GAME CHANGER! The price has really dropped on these too, so they're not even really that expensive anymore. I wish I had one from the start, having had 3 babes. Nice haul! You are going to be an amazing mama.

    Yes, please do the registry post and if there are other baby essentials that you had to purchase yourself, please include those too. I’m so curious what you’re going to use for non-toxic soaps/lotions and diapers.

    It’s always great to have a temporal thermometer too. It’s awesome when they are sleeping and you need to check, ours also lights up so you can see it in the dark.

    Those little remedies saline solution are amazing! I try to add those to every baby shower gift because you wind up needing them in the middle of the night when nothing is open

    I had a basket in the bathroom that I kept my postpartum bathroom needs, like a peri bottle to squirt water down there to clean up, I kept numbing spray in it, pads, extra underware, and witch hazel pads, also kept Tylenol in the bathroom basket too! I also kept face wipes and deodorant in the basket too, sometimes you have to freshen up when you can!

    Yes do the blog post! I love seeing registries and learning why different things are helpful:) Also, I'm sure your planning on this, but can you do an after postpartum period video on what was useful and what was a bust? Oh and something that you will probably find fascinating (you mentioned scrolling through insta while breast feeding) theres a podcast episode all about how important eye contact is with babies and children and how social media can hurt that connection between mama and baby, its super interesting and kind of a mind blowing episode! The podcast is called "3 in 30 Takeaways For Moms" and the episode is #23. Also if you haven't heard about it, Janet Lansbury's podcast "Unruffled" is amazing:) love you! hope these resources help! You're gona be a great mama!!

    “Munchkin Arm and hammer diaper bags”! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve changed a diaper in the trunk of the car and had a poop diaper rolling around until the next trash can sighting. They also work as trash bags/ soiled clothes bags when your in a pinch.

    Hey Becca, when my sister was born, my mom had a sterilizer from Avent, and i must say it's a game changer. you can sterilize bottles, pacifiers, toys.... a lot of things! Get's all the nasty germs that are in the water or dirt that you might not have gotten rid of with a normal wash.

    Windi!! It is by the same brand as the nose Freda. They are little tube straws you can gently place in the rectum to Relieve gas and help with constipation. It sounds weird but it honestly was a game changer for my gassy new born and it’s all natural compared to gas drops and gripe water. . .

    I used evening primrose oil! I started at 39 weeks and it totally worked. I gave birth 5 days after my due date. I thinned before I started dilating which is the order you want it to happen in. 😁

    I love you and your channel! Wish you best of luck with the rest of your pregnancy/labor. I just gave birth to my son (1st baby) 1 month ago! You look so beautiful btw. I was totally not as glowing as you are at the point you are in third trimester! Enjoy all the moments of the rest of the third trimester as well as the newborn stage! I I remember saying I can’t wait to get through the pregnancy to meet my son and because the discomforts! I now miss the kicks! They seriously grow so fast. My son already looks so much bigger!! I’m curious to know where you hear “A lot of OB’s say not to do this or that etc...” I’m a labor and delivery nurse and have worked with over 100 OB’s as well as had my own baby and none of them have ever said not to use evening primrose oil. I used it and loved it. No hate just curious because I’ve heard you say that a ton and have never heard most of it from my experience in the profession.

    After having my son 6 years ago we bought all the baby things. Clothes, swings, bassinets, toys etc. He never wore or even used more than half the crap we got as gifts or bought. So I learned with my daughter to be a minimalist. We did not find out the gender with her so I stocked up on a few good organic sleep sacks and footie pajamas, burp cloths and my breast pump which I got through insurance. Also, her creams, lotions and diapers (the necessities). No fancy clothes or baby bassinets or gadgets. We kept it simple. Babies do not need much especially the first few months. Just keep it simple girl. You will get overwhelmed with all these products you think you need.

    • @ArtsyCupcake
      @ArtsyCupcake 6 лет назад

      I don't have any children but I will definitely consider how much stuff is wasted so when I have one I will try to be a minimalist too! 😀💜

    • @mindsetwithmarie676
      @mindsetwithmarie676 6 лет назад +1

      I have to agree, apart from the swing... That is a must have in my book lol. Trying to get anything done in the house with a fussy babe, the swing often is a life-saver! I would agree for the bassinet, I always put my babies in a pack and play with a mattress at the bottom right next to my bed (I know they say it isn't intended for sleeping, but I think I can judge if something is safe for my baby). I don't like how the bassinets are made and they are too small. I ended up keeping my babies with me for 4-8 months, depending how long I breasfed them still during the night.

    • @kristinagordon7766
      @kristinagordon7766 6 лет назад

      Agree. My registry was very minimal. I had worked with babies for 6 years before I had my own. Everyone thought I was nuts and bought so much crap that I didn't want or need. I legit took stuff back and never regreted it because it wasn't in my registry for a reason.

    Biggest tip I can give you that I can help with being that I don't have children- grab ALL the mesh underwear your birth center will give you!!! Those are amazing. Also, condomsicles. Sounds kinda odd but it’s ice in a condom wrapped in soft cloth. You just place in the mesh undies for amazing relief.

    • @mindsetwithmarie676
      @mindsetwithmarie676 6 лет назад

      @@jessicashirley9031 Lol I've never heard of those before! I heard about padsicles which you soak in witch hazel and other anti infection and numbing properties things I think, that you just pop in the freezer until you're ready to use. Just google it!

    • @jessicashirley9031
      @jessicashirley9031 6 лет назад

      A Loving Housewife The padcicles are amazing but when I was in the hospital with my first, my nurse made those for me and they were so amazing. My doctor didn’t want me using witch hazel because of my stitches so that was a really nice alternative.
