    Nothing like getting a new jigsaw! We replaced our old one not too long ago - it was a game changer! Also, congrats to you all on Thea Rose - she's beautiful!

    Congratulations to the family, Thea Rose 🤗. Nice review on the new jigsaw. The 1st jigsaw looks like it is fitted with M5 grub screws, I'd would be inclined to replace them and store it away (just in case) Wishing you and the family a happy and healthy Christmas and New year😊👍

    Grumps, thanks for posting your review. I don’t really need anymore power tools TBPH, but I’m a sucker for a bargain. Recently, Lidl have been offering 20% off the Parkside12v range and decided to have a closer look. I was lucky enough to pick up the planer - the tool I wanted - but noticed the drill/driver was discounted by 30% on top of the 20% voucher deal. Well, it would be rude not to, so for under a tenner, I left the shop with an excellent little cordless tool that can live in my handy, snagging toolbox in the boot. Alas, having had a bad experience with the corded Parkside jigsaw - again, probably only cost me around £12 some years ago - that was just useless. I get it, jigsaws are not designed to cut perfectly straight lines, but should be able to cut reasonably plumb. The Parkside was literally all over the place - in both directions, regardless of blade choice. Using the same blades in the Hitachi resulted in plumb cuts in material up to an inch thick. Having watched your review, I can’t help thinking that it might have been worth a punt. 😢

    £19 is dirt cheap. With a battery, charger and hard carry case.

    Congratulations on the upgrade for the shop. I switched over to battery operated not that long ago in preparation to move to Okinawa. I will never go back to wired ones 🙌🏻

    Congrats all on the good news buddy. The easy blade change is a real benefit and also the lack of trailing power cord. It does actually cut surprisingly well tbh. I'e used the Parkside blades before and they aren't great but as you say they can always be changed for a better make and a finer cut. I think the 4.0 battery is definitely the way to go and I hope this doesn't make it too heavy or cumbersome to use. That said, for the price, providing it's reliable, that may not be an issue at all. Thanks for sharing Dave.

      Thanks mate. Ive since got a 4ah battery & to be honest there isnt much difference with weight. Even with the supplied blade it cuts quite well. Like i said i was surprised how good it was for £19. Lets see how long it lasts shall we before i manage to kill it😉😉

    Nice review Dave, what's the deepest cut you can do on this saw? Does the saw take any longer type blades? How is battery life for length of cut or cut time ? Can I cut several 2.4m lengths of ply on 1 full battery? No problems with 4ah battery fitting?. How has it fared in the year that you've had it?

    • @GrumpysWorkshop4
      @GrumpysWorkshop4  3 года назад +1

      On the box it says max depth of cut is 70mm in wood & 3mm in aluminium. Ive cut 32mm salvaged skirting boards ok. Takes the usual blades so would think it would take longer blades. Small batteries seem to run out quick but the 4ah batts last much longer but it all depends what you are cutting. Ive used it quite abit & had no problems as of yet. Well worth the £19.99 i paid
