- Helsinki is the capital of Finland. The lively city in the north of Europe has a lot to offer: With its many saunas, beautiful islands and large green parks, Helsinki is truly worth seeing. During your trip you will experience true hospitality and very relaxed and happy Finns.
Helsinki Cathedral is the city's landmark and a popular sight in Helsinki. It can be seen from all corners of the city and is always a good orientation point. The port of Helsinki is close by. From there, ferries leave for Lonna Island (Lonna Restaurant & Sauna), Vallisaari Island (art and nature) and Suomenlinna (UNESCO heritage and very popular). If you like island hopping, this is the place to be.
You can eat delicious food everywhere in the city. Helsinki's restaurants serve a lot of fish. But also other traditional Finnish dishes mixed with international influences.

@@theTravellers never- I once worked with a Finnish lady in Central London and I promised I would visit one day. But so far I haven’t kept my promise. I loved your videos of Cologne- I have been there several times it’s such a beautiful and historic city. You should go one day to my homeland of Scotland!! Let me know if you ever plan to :)

@@theTravellers I am a subscriber. 😉 I have never been to Finland, but it is on my list. I was supposed to go in 2020, but the pandemic happened. I have been to England, France, Belgium, The Netherlands, Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Loved them all.
