    In this video, I demonstrate the creation of a histogram and boxplot with whiskers in GraphPad Prism 7. We see that the software guides users through the import of existing data from files and in adding a new analysis, in this case a frequency table along with summary statistics. GraphPad exhibited some odd behavior in ignoring the label information we had for the side-by-side boxplot, but we were able to reorganize the data to two different sets in the data table editor. We examined "jitter plots" as an alternative to box plots since the software makes both types easy to generate.
    In the case of the histogram, I demonstrate the array formula FREQUENCY as well as the Data Analysis Add-in, while the boxplot example uses the stacked column plot as its basis.

    Not even half way through this video, and already its been great help! I can now confidently conduct the appropriate data analysis for my undergraduate dissertation. THANK YOU.

    Hi,when i am exporting my image as a tiff file at 1200dpi, its of pretty high resolution..but when i am pasting that tiff image to my word doc and saving it, the resolution drops way too much..what could be the issue

      When it's possible, I recommend importing images from vector formats rather than bitmaps. Can you export the image as an SVG or EMF instead of a TIF?

      @@DavidTabb yes.. i can..also i discovered that ms office by default compresses the image during saving..by changing the settings, the problem has been circumvented.. thanks 😀

    how to make a boxplot with more than two pairs of data?

    • @DavidTabb
      @DavidTabb  3 года назад

      As I recall, it just involves adding more columns beside the pair already in place. My Prism is a bit rusty, so you might want to consult someone who uses it regularly!
