I absolutely love this series, with all these small bits, really like your explanation. By the way I've seen people doing it different ways sometime, on narrowbody specially so here is one question: what if you don't enter the trim in the PERF page? If I remember correctly someone mentioned that widebody buses are trimming themself aftern engine start, but narrowbodies dont.
Thank you that has cleared up my uncertainties when using the Fenix. Could you attempt an SOP (Sim Operating Procedure) for the FBW A320, I have recently reviewed the VAS software for take off performance that someone mentioned in one of your recent videos.
Always rounding up is the takeaway from this for me. And the default 25CG. The rest I already did as you do here. Good to know that I'm not totally usesesll in my preflight preparation. ;)
Captain Emi. you're the best! it's not just about going from point A to point b, it's about the subtleties in the background of the work, and you're telling us about them too, thank you
Hello, 1) Were you planning an Intersection Takeoff or why was 200m inserted for TO Shift? 2) Regarding Entry of Trim Value: Is it important to keep this format 1/DN0.4 ? Or is it possible to enter also 1/0.4DN ? Must the DN or UP before the Trim Numbers? 3) You said that according to the FCOM you take a 25% for ZFWCG. Is that the case with all Airbus types or only A320 family? If not, what are the standard values for ZFWCG for A330/A340? Thank you and greetings
Silly question maybe Your views, your ability to move freely around the cockpit still using switches etc and on the A300 rearward to operate the cargo door How do you manage this? I still have sussed it I’m still using the ctrl+x views Frequent viewer, fantastic videos enhancing the sim experience, especially with the recent long haul ops, ETOPS planning etc Real Gem to the flight sim community
This might be a really rookie question, but where is the load sheet data coming from that you had up on the FO's MCDU? I assume in the real world that it is uploaded by the flight dispatcher somehow, but what about MSFS? Is that supplied by SimBrief or something?
What format do you enter the Tail or headwind in the fuel planning page , i have put in for example the tail wind is 11 knots i have typed TL011 and when i try and enter it i get the message "Format Error"
@@Fromit87 hi i have found if you request the winds through the wind tab on the right side you cannot enter the HD or TL component if you dont upload the winds you can enter is as TL or HD
You'd use a performance calculator for that, usually in the EFB. In the "good old days" the airlines had to do these calculations for different conditions and then give you charts from which you'd have to take your takeoff speeds.
Man, You are a wealth of info for us Sim Pilots. I just love your educational, informational Video's . Please keep them coming. Thank you

Another excellent video, which has taught me several things I wasn't aware of

Excellent video, a lot of usefull information!
Glad you enjoyed it

Such great info in your vids. Love all the details for what and why.
Again, very helpfull!
Glad to hear it!
I feel like I could get a type rating just watching your videos lol! Thanks for sharing such valuable information with us flight simmers!
Great explanation, thanks so much.
Alot of simmers put MACZFW as trim setting ✈️
Hello,
1)
Were you planning an Intersection Takeoff or why was 200m inserted for TO Shift?
2)
Regarding Entry of Trim Value:
Is it important to keep this format
1/DN0.4
?
Or is it possible to enter also 1/0.4DN ?
Must the DN or UP before the Trim Numbers?
3)
You said that according to the FCOM you take a 25% for ZFWCG.
Is that the case with all Airbus types or only A320 family?
If not, what are the standard values for ZFWCG for A330/A340?

Do you use any nvidia filters? Your colours & textures look awesome & I’d love to get close to that on my system
Hi, no I don't use anything the likes. It's all simply the default sim colors.
@@A330Driver thanks for letting me know - appreciated
Thank you! Can you by any chance do a similar video for the Boeing 737 too?

The Fenix A320 gives you a loadsheet by datalink, which he uses here. Most other aircraft don't do this yet, sadly
@@blanderrr4892 What is "datalink"?
For a moment, I thought the PMDG 737 had updated their EFB! LOL!
So you don’t use the FCTL page to check the trim setting as that will give you the exact figure
Great video! Just would like to ask if the THS value entered on the TAKE OFF page is used somewhere? Or it’s just for information?
What about the prelim vs final load sheet? How should we handle that?

@@A330Driver ok dann war meine Vermutung ja richtig... Macht irgendwie auch Sinn, stimmt schon 😅
How do you calculate the taxi fuel?
Great information Captain sadly for us FBW simmers we don’t get the load sheet
Nevertheless keep up the great work on your A320 streaming
You can use the data on the EFBs payload pages as a substitude though. Just pretend you only get these figures after boarding, etc. is completed.
What format do you enter the Tail or headwind in the fuel planning page , i have put in for example the tail wind is 11 knots i have typed TL011 and when i try and enter it i get the message "Format Error"
I get invalid entry when trying that. I have not figured it out how to enter the trip wind component correctly.
@richardwarcup2432 Try T011 or H011, let me know if that works?
@@Fromit87 hi i have found if you request the winds through the wind tab on the right side you cannot enter the HD or TL component if you dont upload the winds you can enter is as TL or HD
ATPL Mass and Balance vibes 😅

How is V1, V2 and Vr calculated?

Regarding the fuel it doesn’t help the Fenix fuel burn seems to be much lower than FMS prediction. Extra fuel always keeps rising for me
How is this entered into the MCDU? I always get Ivalid entry AVG W/C M010
Thanks
