Quin’s sense of humor is just so calming to me, he’s the only RUclipsr besides Markiplier that I can replay their videos over and over just to listen to him😂
Honestly, I do this on the regular. I have chronic migraines and there are just some things I cannot listen to (RIP some of my fav music) but Quin's videos are both entertaining and soothing. I have them on repeat in the background non stop.
I've watched his entire botw playthrough twice. The second time for familiarity and just to hear Quin be Quin

Hey Quin! It's been a really tough year for me, but your content genuinely helped me get through it. I have trouble sleeping and usually turn on one of your old playthroughs. Your Zelda series especially bc it's like a comforting part of my childhood, but your humor is also top notch so if I'm not falling asleep at least I'm laughing. Ahhh yes! I never played Cadence since I don't own a Switch, but I played the original Crypt of the Necrodancer that this spinoff was based off of, and let me tell you: It's fun! Brutally difficult, but fun! So it's great to see you return to Cadence ^^
Shout out to the devs, to Danny Baranowski for the amazing soundtrack and Adrisaurus and FamilyJules for their kickass contribution to the music ^^
You couldn’t sleep because you can here the beat in your head like the ominous drumming from Jumanji, I knew eventually the temptation and intrigue of rhythmic combat would pull you back in to fight the dance battle of the century
Audio sounds great! Your voice is louder than the background noise, but the music can still be heard underneath.

me and my wall goblin friends: we have been summoned
there are lots of little things that can be learned about the game to make life easier.
One that might not make it "easier" per-se is that the rhythm is far more important than it may first appear. The more beats in a row you get without taking damage, the higher your combo gets. Obsidian gear becomes more powerful as the combo gets higher and clearing a screen while the combo is maxed TRIPLES the diamonds you earn. Combo persists between screens, but cant be broken unless an enemy is present. If rhythm is a problem, fixed-beat mode exists in settings to lock the beat to player action, regardless of interval between.
In story mode, some items have fixed spawn screens, even if the screen itself is in a different location. Overworld shops always contain the same powerups, as an example, much like the puzzle reward within the cave filled with ghost zoras (fish people).
Certain items like the long jump boots can be toggled on and off, and only loose durability whilst on.
Chest colors generally indicate the reward within. Purple are classic dungeon items and persist between deaths. Locked gold chests contain permanent weapons, either an ultimate or a basic tier. and there is one in every main dungeon along with a buyable heart piece, map, and compass (the latter 2 are always on different floors). Red are run-specific gear (scrolls, rupees, shovels, boots, glass weapons, etc.). Blue are heart pieces and specialized weapons.
Many overworld and cave puzzles have multiple solutions, often in 3 categories: dungeon item, specialized temporary boots, and permanent passives (like lava immunity or shield upgrades).
Warp points fully heal the player on activation, and in multiplayer can revive your ally at full health (allowing for some death-based healing cheese).
The real endgame (skill-wise) comes from the various achievements, daily challenge seeds, and permadeath modes (including daily seed). Some more obvious settings are nothing to scoff at, either. Everything from double time (effectively the game running twice as fast) to a certain gimmick character who forces a near flawless playthrough if chosen for a single character run.
Happy new year Quin! I was watching this series a couple days ago and was wondering if a new episode would ever come out, and with this episode coming out on the first day of the new year, I know it's going to be amazing! Again, HAPPY NEW YEAR! And I would LOVE to see more of this.

Wow great to see you back on this game! This has a lot of content if you get into it - especially after you beat the game once. There are lots of characters you can unlock and many custom game modes. I would love to see you play more of this and I think you would have a great time!

Ah, Crypt of The Necromancer. Good game, couldn't ever beat it.
Just a tip for this game, if you don't stall (meaning don't stop moving or attacking etc) a beat then you get much, much better rewards.
The fact that a AAA game company gave a treasured IP to an Indie dev team just because the concept fit the IP is insane to me. I don't remember this happening to a single big franchise.
It's quite challenging even in the mode where you basically choose the rhythm, but it cam be fun

Highly recommend you stop buying shovels when you respawn, one will drop in the first few enemies you kill. Save up for permanent upgrades unless you’re explicitly looking for a challenge

Highly recommend trying Oracle of Ages and Seasons for GameBoy Color. If you don't have the gbc, there's emulators that you could use for screen capture and the games (Ages being the better of the two in my opinion) are hella fun
