One thing I remember about ET was he always went around the legs and never missed a tackle. The sort of guy you genuinely wanted to see win a premiership when club loyalty was a thing.
Wasn't the fastest but could go from standing to top speed in a flash. As an Eels fan, he was my 2nd fave player after Brett Kenny. Had the mix of speed, strength, ability to read the defence and great hands. Under-rated defender. His ability to link-up with the likes of Gavin Miller and Rogers was amazing.
My old man would yarn about this bloke for ages. Definitely ahead of his time.

ETs strength was his defence great player
His defence was great, but his combination of acceleration, swerve and brilliant hands that could catch any ball were his trademark in attack.
