I love this movie. I was wondering if I was the only person thinking about it still.

The TV Repairman was the incredible Don Knotts. I think it may have been his last film.

My husband was raised in a pleasantville type family. I was raised by disfunctional parents but luckily they really left me alone.
So the guy who wants to accept everything as it's presented imarried a woman who leaves no rock unturned and consistently learning how to do better for us and learn more and more about people.
Luckily he loves my spitfire personality.
His family is polite to me and I completely baffle them because I behave with joy and excitement.
Luckily they are soo busy being nice and not doing anything, they leave me alone and are polite when I see them.

To me this movie was about not excepting the world for what you think it is……. and to look deeper then your surface.
Change the way you look at things and the things you look at change.
    Enjoy your journey ❤️

Pleasantville is actually a story about sin causing the destruction of paradise. The people who change from B&W to color have surrendered to their sinful desires.

But was it REALLY paradise? Can a falsehood really be a paradise? Ever notice how “utopian” societies in media always end up being dystopian in reality? The way they were living - they thought it was paradise (when they were black and white) - but it is not. They become colorful when they begin to discover their true selves.
