Your Suggestions! What other dive travel tips can we add to this list?
Do you have how to best switch lenses underwater demo videos? I don’t want to force you into the pool, but should you be somewhere with good visibility that could be interesting ...
@@sandrasunny1124 Hi Sandra - if you mean wet lenses that are designed to be added and removed underwater, then I already do have that video. You'll see some tips for adding and removing them (with underwater footage in a pool) here: ruclips.net/video/E5hzI43qjjg/видео.html
I love you incorporate the fitness in the thought, for me diving and yoga are not separable anymore 😇 And I want to buy sooo many flight tickets after hearing you now!
Thanks Sandra! There are so many places to go. And yes, fitness is for creating unique photos in less than ideal conditions. The best way for new divers to improve their photography is to become better divers. It all ties together :- )
I recently took up underwater photography, and I love it. I purchased a Sealife micro 3.0 and video light. I used it on my trip to Bimini, and it worked great. Great video.
Glad you're enjoying the new hobby, Jess! That's a great first camera setup.
Great tips for the traveling underwater photographer and videographer!
Thanks!
Huge one!
Thanks Juli. Hope you found a good tip or two there 🤙
Super sleek idea
Thanks
Yes yes
Hopefully some of these tips work for you!
Great vid Brent. Now if we could just travel. Both my trip to Cozumel and Little Cayman cancelled for this year. Greg Holder
Thanks Greg. Frustrating RE trips. So many divers with trips cancelled. Luckily things are opening up, with nearly half of the Caribbean open, plus a lot opening for European divers starting in a few weeks. Watching it day by day...
Brent Durand we are watching and waiting and catching lobster off Jupiter, FL in the meantime. Thanks for great tips and instruction. Our group watches every one my friend. Greg
@@usma605 Nice - glad you're in the water! I'm diving locally as well. Essential. And thank you for the support! These videos are a side passion project outside work, family/friends, and getting outside, so I really appreciate it.
Hey Brent, did you learn to dive specifically so you could take your photography underwater, or did you learn to dive for general reasons and then later start to add the photography? I'd be interested to see a video where you talk about your experience, dive training, how you got started, etc.
Thanks for the awesome videos!
Hi Andy - I was diving long before photography. Then spent a couple years shooting landscapes and sports, then finally got a used SeaLife and started shooting underwater. I did an interview on the Scuba Travel podcast a few months ago (link below) - probably easier than trying to track down magazine profiles. It's weird to talk about myself, so probably won't make a video on this topic ;- ).

@@BrentDurand Thanks Brent, I'll check it out!
Hey Brent, Are you saying that locations like the Philippines restrict your carry-on to just 7lbs? When I travel, I take my gear with me as carry on. It must weigh close to 16lbs at least. It's been a while, so I'm not sure. Any suggestions if what's allowed is less than that? Can't you opt to pay an additional amount in order to carry 16-20lbs of gear with you as carry-on? I don't trust checked baggage to not loose or steal my gear. What about travel to Latin American locations like Costa Rica?
nope, you can't - needed to check in most of the gear there
Hey Angelo - Yes, the weight restriction for carry-on is generally 7lbs. That said, you can often bring that heavier carry-on without issues on the international leg into Manila. I use a camera backpack that must be 30lbs, but it looks like casual backpack and rarely draws suspicion. Oftentimes if the check in agent insists on weighing the camera bag, you can explain that it's fragile camera gear and they will let you go. BUT the important fact is that TECHNICALLY they could limit you to the 7lbs. As far as I know, you cannot pay for additional carry-on.
In my experience this is pretty similar in Central and South America and for most international legs. The South Pacific and domestic flights are much more strict.
@@th4n. Yep - although it would be nice to be able to purchase extra carry-on allowance
can you geach me this?
