Agreed. Watching the Hawkeye show has put a lot of that into perspective as well, like it should - he's a hero BECAUSE he's you and me. He's a guy with a stick and a string who's using what he's good at to make the world a better place. In some ways, I think he's more heroic than the rest - the stakes are higher, he's got a family to protect, but he still fights the good fight. Beautifully executed character. You want to stand behind the rest of the avengers, but Black Widow and Hawkeye? You want to stand WITH them.
I hate how people just write Clint off as weak because he uses arrows. Yet he took down a helicarrier by himself, he was the only regular person to do the most damage to Loki, he stopped Wanda while the others couldn’t, and has a lot more impressive feats.
also took out Quicksilver and stunned Vision twice. And held Black Panther at bay to give the others time. And since Black Widow shocked him, I wonder what his shock arrows would have done. Or his mini nuke arrow from What If.

Gotta love that while breaking out Wanda, Clint came face to face with Vision, a sentient robot made out of vibranium powered by an infinity stone that basically has the powers of Superman and he was like "yeah alright bet" and just started swinging. No fear, no hesitation.
Hawkeye's one of my favorites in the MCU. I don't get why he's underrated. If anything, he does well to balance out the group character wise and it wouldn't be the same without him.

He offers a lot in terms of crowd control and taking out the masses. 1v1, he’s probably the weakest Avenger to fight. But 1v50, he’s never going to lose. And in fights like in Civil War where he can just switch and hold people to where he creates those 2v1 fights or gives other people the chance to recover. And in Avengers, he showed how he can just take out the Helicarrier with ease as and just wipe out the biggest asset the Avengers have. He also helps ground everybody, cause he’s the only one of the originals who actually has something outside of being a superhero. He knows the consequences both on a personal and global level. Apart from Cap, no-one will try more in battle than Clint.

Clint's wife and children were supposed to be off any radar for nobody to be able to have pressure on Clint because of them. Clint trusted Tony and brought him to his home when they needed to lay low. And that's what Tony did with the secret he was entrusted.
I don’t think anyone on the planet would stop Clint at a time where his wife and kids are threatened. Those who do always stay away and even hide from Clint. Because for a man who’s seemingly ‘weak’ compared to literal gods and men frozen in time, he is a danger in any situation and can give almost anybody a worthy fight. His main weakness is that he holds back. But if he didn’t, I think he’s the only OG Avenger who couldn’t be taken down by any one Avenger. He’d dispatch of Natasha and Tony with relative ease, Thor would be a bit of a challenge but those trick arrows could definitely incapacitate him. Hulk would be a massive challenge but Clint would find it surprisingly easy to take him down, probably putting him to sleep. Cap would be an incredibly tough fight but any poison arrows or stunning arrows would leave him open for Clint to disarm him and take his legs out.

I think we all loved both JR and hawkeye from the beginning, he just got way too overshadowed by the others. His 'powers' don't get much emore twists than 'I'm good at shooting arrows' and has no character arc. It happens the same or similar with Natasha mostly. And they try to make them look cool sometimes, which just adds to the 'I'm compensating for something' thing.
I wish that dr Banner and agent Barton were the same character so that I could say Hawk SMASH. OR Hawkeye and Quicksilver were the same character so that we could call him Jeremy Runner.

killer idea guys, y'know how they take a bunch of different takes of the same scene till they get the right one? what if they had multiple versions of the same movie with different takes so the characters were organic every time you rewatched it. like the delivery would be pretty much the same but just so slightly different that you could tell.

I can't be the only one who noticed Clint giving cabin 7 vibes. And Harley gives serious cabin 9 vibes. I have actually gathered evidence for this theory.
People tend to forget he’s a trained assassin too! He’s not short on skills, and neither is he useless without a bow and arrow. He’s probably one of the best fighters hand to hand and with other weapons as well. Also he worked with Natasha as his partner for years… I’m sure he knows her and her fighting styles better than anyone else!
And she was in the red room! Everyone forgets that Clint Barton against normal trained soldiers is terrifyingly strong. His bow is a 250lb draw weight...Olympic level bows pull just under 49lb. Not even Thor can draw his bow. He is in *peak* human condition, and everyone forgets this.
