ATHENS, FROM PETRALONA TO PIRAEUS
Shot in the Greek city, the American Vintage Spring/Summer 2023 campaign showcases a new gallery of authentic and intimate portraits in harmony with the setting. Multi-faceted, raw-edged and dramatic, Athens reveals landscapes as transient as they are powerful, caught between sea and concrete. Voluntary roughness with a documentary feel, never idealised. A realistic and spontaneous aesthetic that comes to life for the camera of German photographer Jonas Unger and French film director Thomas Lachambre.
This season, American Vintage confirms its democratic vision of fashion, which it championed in Autumn/Winter 2021/2022 during its first street casting. After Barcelona and Berlin, it is now
in Athens that we discover the brand’s Spring/ Summer 2023 silhouettes, as well as the many faces that embody it. Under the sun, the silhouettes of Hercules, Ros, Nikos and Evdokia honour
a unique style: their own. But also the bonds that unite them to others, to the world and to their city.
