@@lorenzoazzimiei9814 There are some roads in Washington, DC that doe this. Not because the road is so narrow; rather to add a lane of traffic in one direction during a peak commuting time. Some of the wording on the traffic signs can be a little vague or confusing if you are not from there. So it's possible to be driving along, come to a blind bend in the road, and then discover you are now in a lane of opposing traffic. But, I think you're right to consider this in the Amalfi context. This type of traffic condition wastes so much time...for everyone involved.

But one bus would have to be replaced with 4 vans for the same number of passengers. The plus side is that 3 more drivers would have to be hired, reducing unemployment. Everybody would be less stressed and more people would take the vans instead of scooters. Win, win, win!

Narrow sections need to prioritize vehicles that dont obstruct their side. The sides that get obstructed need to give priority to upcoming trafic + 360 degree mirrors installed at corners to get a better view at this section.

I can totally understand those cars here, imagine, you are leaving peacefully in a small village and one day (and from that on more and more) suddenly busses come, that are blocking the whole road and you cant just drive normally anymore, you always have to watch out for those 30t steel elephants, that are technically not even allowed on those streets. If you are wider than 50% of a street, you need a special permit to drive on it. I doubt, anyone in Italia does this.
Where I live, I have a pretty small street in front of my neighbourhood aswell, where hardly 2 cars fit next to each other (after that, both only have like 5-10cm to the curbs and between each other). Often people use this street as shortcut between two small villages, because they don't want to use the street, which was build originally for exactly this for busses and lorrys/trucks. Their road would mean a detour of maybe 5km at max. Long story, short: I have absolutely no problem on this street of taking my right of way and forcing them to go back and let me pass. Respect is not a one way street and neither is this one, where I live. If you are forbiddenly driving on it (doesen't mean, its intentionally), you have to give right of way. That's what the street code says and I expect it as moral code, too! If we would live in a world, where the biggest and strongest can just do whatever he wants with violence, then we would be back in stone age. I don't accept this for me personally. I am not a citizen of a lower class...
