I've got a Haven Courtyard on NCL Joy - Feb 8 - 15. Thanks to Danny and Harr Travel for handling all of our arrangements and getting us some awesome added bonuses!
We have done Breakaway , Encore, and Joy most recently July 2022, since 2015 as Haven Guests. Once on Breakaway as a Spa Suite guest. The Joys Haven does not have Sauna or steam rooms the Breakaway and Encore do. The Joy sun deck and hot tub areas do not allow Children under 16. Wink wink nod nod but there were a few children and that rule was not really enforced as long as they were with adult supervision. The Joy does utilize the crew service elevators escorted by Consigniers when in port for Haven guests. Which is great! Avoiding overcrowded elevators and waiting for elevators in port stinks. But for the most part the Haven spaces are identical. * The Spa Suites on Breakaway is a affordable upgrade if the Haven isnt in your budget. Note - The Joy does not have Spa suites. I would recommend not getting the forward facing Haven suites at the bow of the ship on Breakaway. The suite is a fabulous place but the walk to the mid ship elevators is far especially for older people Booked a Prima Haven For a 11 day Transatlantic in 2023 - very excited. I’m going on the Encore for an Alaskan cruise in October and I put a bid for the Haven room upgrade. I hope I get the upgrade. I would love to experience the Haven.
We are sailing on the Joy August 2025 (Alaska) and staying in a Haven suite on deck 14. I was curious if the Haven pool is heated? Also is it indoors? Thx!
It is not heated. The pool is indoors and when the ship sails to warm areas, they will open up the ceiling. They will keep it closed on the Alaska cruise.
Hi Danny, I am taking a Norwegian Joy cruise in April. Usually how many people are occupying these private areas, or how many people stay in the haven rooms?
Hi Danny. Would you recommend the 17th or 18th deck if you were to book in the Haven on the Joy? Or perhaps another way to ask the question is which deck and side has the quietest part of the haven rooms with the least traffic in the hallways?

There is no noise in the Haven hallways. We have been doing the Haven for years and never had a problem with noise. Doing the Owners Suite next spring. Just the two of us.

So my husband and I booked a Haven room for next November because I have social issues. I've been on two Norwegian cruises so far and both times, trying to find space near other people but not being shoulder to shoulder is ridiculously impossible. Is the Haven really like you show here or are you showing your "advertisement" version of it. I'm guessing there will still be a problem with space per Haven member.

@@nataliemaxwell4292 We will be doing videos of go carts, and laser tag as experience video to give everyone a better idea of the whole process. We'll try and do a more thorough walk through of the shops for you as well, just so you have a better idea of whats on board.
Officially the Haven spaces are reserved for Haven guests only. But there are some opportunities to invite fellow guests to dine with you at the restaurant (for an extra charge).

Not really a social issue, I am the same way, like being around people but spaced out....looks like that area will still be crowded....
So, you pay a considerably higher amount for the Haven but there could be little kids there? I’ll go Viking.
