Wow. They have cult written all over them. My mom liked them alot. It wasn't until recently that I realized how screwed up they really are.

OK, I'm not LDS and I'm not a Romney supporter, but why are you calling the Osmonds incestuous???

Mormons are not Christians…Christians believe in the trinity as one not three separate beings…

While I do believe that character is important when voting for your President, it shouldn't matter what their religion is . . . I wouldn't vote for someone just because they're a Mormon. Religion shouldn't play a part in the decision making when picking a President, because in America you're allowed to believe in whatever you want to believe. When you're president, you're supposed to represent everyone, even people who don't believe in God. If The Osmonds are voting for Mitt Romney just because he's Mormon, I completely disagree with that. His religion shouldn't be a factor, even if he's of the same faith. As Marie said, "I'm still researching", which means she needs to look at both candidates before making her decision, regardless of what their faith is. I would never vote for someone just because they are the same faith as I am.

I agree with you that the Osmonds probably only supported Romney because he's Mormon. I don't agree with their political views at all. I think they were forced to grow up too close because they worked together their entire lives. That might be why they seem to be too close in comparison with other families. Donny has even stated that if he had his choice, he would have grown up not in show biz. I have to admire their loyalty to each other, though.

I don't agree with all of Mormon beliefs, but I do believe that Mitt Romney will do a good job as President. JKF was the 1st Catholic and he ended up doing great things. Mitt can do the same.

Well, I guess I was just being a little sarcastic. I apologize if you're actually a fan of the Osmond siblings.
For whatever reason, I've always thought that they were a little "too close". Especially considering how the fundamentalist Mormon church has a (perhaps undeserved) reputation of incestuous relationships.
Either way, (having lived in Utah) I'm quite sure that Romney's Mormonism was indeed the most relevant thing in these people's minds (to the exclusion of all other issues).

Thank you for being considerate. As a Mormon, I appreciate NOT being criticized. I've never known any other celebrities to be so scrutinized for their faith. From the time they were teens!

Mormon Prophet Gordon B Hinckley said "We believe in a different Jesus" So They say they are Christian, but they have a different Christ... Mormons love syntax and word games.

You know, I think the answer to your question is, when a Christian reads their Bible and believes what it says, then they have a conviction about something that goes against what they believe morally. With all do respect, it sounds to me that you believe in God, but you don't have a relationship with God through His Word. And if you did, you wouldn't support gay marriage. I am not trying to be mean, I am just sharing my thought on your question.

I don't blame Marie for wanting to do further research. She knows how Romney feels about her gay daughter.

Mormonism teaches the following (All references are from Mormon sources)
There are many gods (Mormon Doctrine by LDS Apostle, Bruce McConkie, p. 163).
God resides near a star called Kolob (Pearl of Great Price, pages 34-35).
God is an exalted man from another world (Mormon Doctrine, p. 321).
God the Father has the form of a man (Joseph Smith, Journal of Discourses, v. 6, p. 3).
God the Father had a Father, (Joseph Smith, History of the Church, vol. 6, p. 476).
There is a mother goddess, the wife of God (Articles of Faith, by James Talmage, p. 443).
The Trinity is three separate gods, (Articles of Faith, by James Talmage, p. 35).
God had sexual relations with Mary to make the body of Jesus, (Brigham Young, 2nd LDS Prophet, Journal of Discourses, vol. 4, 1857, p. 218).
"Jesus paid for all our sins when He suffered in the Garden of Gethsemane," (Laurel Rohlfing, “Sharing Time: The Atonement,” Friend, Mar. 1989, p. 39).
There is no salvation without accepting Joseph Smith as a prophet of God, (Doctrines of Salvation, Vol. 1, p. 188).
Mormonism is not Christian. It teaches a false god, a false christ, and a false gospel. It looks Christian on the outside, but inside it teaches unbiblical doctrines -- all based on Joseph Smith who said God appeared to him and told him all churches were wrong. Really? All are wrong? Yet when the facts are presented to Mormons about Joseph Smith's contradictions with the Bible, they deny them and give their "testimony" about how Smith was a true prophet of God.
