This Nocturne was written while Chopin was on the island of Majorca in 1839. The first theme is composed of fluid thirds and sixths, contrasted by a slower second theme in the style of a chorale. Join the SeeMusic Discord server! discord.gg/GsAe8mRVTr
@@xevivr ... What proof.. That he shows off? Liszt learned every pattern in Aprezio's possible to learn. Thats impressive.. But Chopin, created new patterns, created his own which were very difficult. And Chopin created music the way it was meant for, Chopin composed on feeling and romance. Liszt just was like: Look at what i can do. Music is Art after all.
Ohhh hearing this piece was a first for me. Definitely gonna be one of my favorite Nocturnes now by Chopin and I'm glad I had to hear it first from you!
I hear some saying it's too fast, but I believe Chopin said that many people played the double note part too fast and the choral part too slow... So while it may not be what we're used to, it might be closer to what the composer intended.
Amo las obras de Chopin, sus nocturnos son bellísimos. Él es el compositor que más me gusta y podría decir que es mi amor platónico ❤ su magistral manera de tocar el piano me encantó y como él ninguno
@@smichelin19 D-flat major quite a lot, but A-flat major is undisputable lol. By the way, it is very ironic that his favourite key was major, as his music is known to be sad and melancholic

It’s played way too fast, check out Rubinstein for a more beautiful take on the nocturne.
