from the radar footage it seems light helicopter made a right move to avoid, but they didn’t expect the final approach of commercials has a huge left turn at the end.
I heard from my CRJ pilot son that the helicopter's transponder was off. If so, the CRJ's TCAS wouldn't generate conflict resolution. Also,, one commenter noted that the helo visibility should've prevented this. Such a comment has to be from someone that hasn't flown at night in a light-congested environment. It is my pure opinion that neither aircraft saw each other. The helo's upward vis is not great and the CRJ can't see traffic below. A bigger issue is if the helo was using UHF for comms, the CRJ couldn't hear the helo's half of the conversations which can be very important for situational awareness.
You can see the Blackhawk flying directly from the left into the jet’s path. I cannot believe this was an accident. The jet’s landing lights made it eminently visible causing me to think that the collision may have been intentional.
Not on Blackhawk because its a transport aircraft but you can see basically everything from the cockpit. Still no excuse to just not see a commercial airliner
So many people in the comments are showing their ignorance of helicopters, shared military and civilian air spaces, night flights and ATC. If you truly don't know, you shouldn't embarrass yourself by making truly stupid comments.
Am I the only one thinking that the helicopter pilot was of the similar beliefs of the New Orleans "driver". There is ABSOLUTELY NO REASON for a military chopper to be anywhere near a commercial flight strip, especially at that height.
The big revealing question is who was on that plane? Who was on that Blackhawk? This seems shady as hell. Just wait. There will be some important people on that jet.
Listen to the report. It was a problem with the controller communicating on two different freqs with the airplane and the helicopter. On top of that, not even warning the chopper about the plane until 5 seconds before the crash.
What they played here was the second time ATC told the helicopter to pass behind the jet. The first time the heli replied that he had the jet in sight and asked for permission to maintain his own visual separation.
There Were Two Warnings* Seems like you ignored it They got told but couldn't respond, Doesn't change the fact that they could be heard You seem just as bad at listening
They were warned for sure, it was either ATC warning them or them acknowledging notification from ATC. I think they had just misidentified which plane ATC was notifying them about.
According to the news... The helicopter was on a training mission and was on a helicopter or uhf band. The plane was on a different frequency. Therefore they were not commenting with each other.

Sounds like they have both been given clearance by the tower. You can’t just fly a chopper across the airfield without clearance and you can’t land a plane without clearance.
from the radar footage it seems light helicopter made a right move to avoid, but they didn’t expect the final approach of commercials has a huge left turn at the end.
Something isn't adding up that helicopter went straight into that plane
Military helicopter flies directly into passenger jet at high speed in the dark and they likely never saw each other.
wait for investigation...I heard the plane dropped suddenly and that's why the helicopter hit it.
How im the absolute hell does this helicopter not see this plane
They were flying with their eyes closed.
Was your son there?
EXACTLY!
TCAS isn't doing anything this close to the ground
You can see the Blackhawk flying directly from the left into the jet’s path. I cannot believe this was an accident. The jet’s landing lights made it eminently visible causing me to think that the collision may have been intentional.
This is unacceptable.
Do we not have radar on our military aircraft?
Not on Blackhawk because its a transport aircraft but you can see basically everything from the cockpit. Still no excuse to just not see a commercial airliner
So many people in the comments are showing their ignorance of helicopters, shared military and civilian air spaces, night flights and ATC. If you truly don't know, you shouldn't embarrass yourself by making truly stupid comments.
Could you enlighten us?
How would you resolve the problem smart guy
pipe down
When has that ever stopped MAGA and right-wing media from blaming Biden for anything?
What is your expertise?
What the??????😮😮😮. Godspeed to all who passed away in this tragedy.
This is unforgiveable. flying into a decent path of a commercial jet?
Am I the only one thinking that the helicopter pilot was of the similar beliefs of the New Orleans "driver". There is ABSOLUTELY NO REASON for a military chopper to be anywhere near a commercial flight strip, especially at that height.
How many times did ATC complain about overwhelming responsibilities?
Not sure. How many times was it written in the script? 🤔🤔
A black hawk next to a low altitude commercial jet. Nope. That's not right.
WHAT WAS THE COPTERS RESPONSE???
allahu akbar, I'm guessing.
Don't know.
They said they saw the plane and they would change paths
@@HoiaPolloiaget help bro.
The copter looks like an orb.
Prayers
The big revealing question is who was on that plane? Who was on that Blackhawk? This seems shady as hell. Just wait. There will be some important people on that jet.
I totally agree with you.
Who was on that plane???
Several coaches and skaters with the United States figure skating team were on the flight
My friend is pilot for American prayers he wasnt the pilot😢
4:50 this is sped up footage of the audio. The real audio shows it was much longer, like 10-15 seconds
This looks suspicious
Listen to the report. It was a problem with the controller communicating on two different freqs with the airplane and the helicopter. On top of that, not even warning the chopper about the plane until 5 seconds before the crash.
It's a clear night, how could the helicopter not see the plane?
Even if they had it was too late. No excuse to not see a giant plane landing in your view. You have night vision goggles in a helicopter
What they played here was the second time ATC told the helicopter to pass behind the jet. The first time the heli replied that he had the jet in sight and asked for permission to maintain his own visual separation.
There Were Two Warnings* Seems like you ignored it
They got told but couldn't respond, Doesn't change the fact that they could be heard
You seem just as bad at listening
They were warned for sure, it was either ATC warning them or them acknowledging notification from ATC. I think they had just misidentified which plane ATC was notifying them about.
According to the news... The helicopter was on a training mission and was on a helicopter or uhf band. The plane was on a different frequency. Therefore they were not commenting with each other.
America keeps falling apart by the seams day after day. I left America 15 years ago but I still pray for my friends and family who still live there. They tell me its getting bad over there
And what great country are you in now?
It's actually starting to improve. Not all at once but there is improvement and hope for more. Meanwhile, Americans are helping one another in the crises and disasters. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else but the U.S.A. 🙏🏼❤️🇺🇸
@ Thailand, living the dream for only 2k a month (which is less than your rent). Ill be watching the chaos in America with my numerous Thai girlfriends on my 60 inch flat screen tv for entertainment, Stay safe!!!
@ lol, okay keep telling yourself that. The country is 37 trillion in debt with the economy ready to implode at any moment but hey if it helps you sleep at night
Glad you left. At least you didn't stick around with the other "I'm outta here if" people. If you don't want to be here, we don't want you. No better place on earth to live.

the big questions , which be a big lie in days to come. what was a military attack helicopter doing at a civilian airport?
The plane did nothing wrong. Was a standard 33 approach from the south. Completely confused as to why the helicopter did not respond… and kept flying straight.
Did they misjudge their trajectory? Maybe they saw the plane was above their path, not accounting for its descent rate. Training flight
WTAF
Ughhh!!! Not even one full month into 2025....here we go! 😢
So it's the Air Traffic Controllers fault. Operating two different controllers and only getting half the script from both plane and helicopter
Hmmm…sounds like the heli’s pilot needs to be investigated
Did he shout "allahu akbar" before intentionally crashing into the jeline?
If his name is Mohammed I’m done 😂
Allahu Akbar!!!!!
Yall some sick people… we’re close to Marshall law. Wake up the governments about to do something.
Are we going to talk about Air Traffic Control budget cuts?
THE HELICOPTER STRUCK THE PLANE, NOT A COLLISION IN THE TRADITIONAL SENSE.
🤡
Did that reporter just repeat everything he said at the beginning twice over at the beginning or am I trippin?
This country has gone to hell!
Gonna get worse unfortunately
@@ubergoober25 The worst is yet to come.
Military and civilian use two different frequency, designations and completely different systems in each aircraft. It’s pretty easy knowing that to see how this could happen.
What a terrible accident, why is a helicopter in the path of a jet, I hope they get to the bottom of this, condolances to the family's, this is tragic.
They did it on purpose
We are praying for everyone on board to be safe !! 🙏🙏🙏
@Ariasnow8465
. . .They died.
I heard "we're military and we do what we want".
Im waiting for CNN to blame Trump like "Tom Holman just shot a migrant out of a cannon towards Mexico".
@PJC005
Oh, the ID10Ts have been out in force this evening blaming it on Trump's "deregulations" (nothing to do with Aviation, of course), and/or "He fired them all! There's nobody left!" (ALSO nothing to do with Aviation).
My flabbers are finally gasted at how truly STUPID people can be! /dirty words!/
Exactly
80 year old orange man playing golf right now
This year is already off to a bad start for aviation disasters. Last year ended bad that way.
