When the song came out I played it while washing my face in the morning and when the line “cus an escape to me, was just a sharpener to you” played it hit me. I just started crying. To anyone who has or currently is going through Sh, know that you are loved and I know what you’re going through

The song sharpeners calling me again is abt self harm and how hard it can be to just be ur self infront of others and fit in at the same time so the person in the song moves onto self harm to try help but it doesn't work and near the end that's the persons self conscious telling him that it's not working but they can't help but carry on bc all they want to do is fit in but yet again they can't be themselves Infront of others bc they're afraid of being judged by others and looked down apon
