I would have appreciated this movie more if the scientists behaved like actual scientists. Instead, we are supposed to believe that one of them wants to play with the Alien. WTF?
@ The Thing is a movie where all the characters make believable decisions that a normal person would make if put in that scenario, and it is one of the best movies ever made
films like this should be considered PSAs in how fubar things can get when crew members don't maintain standards of behavior and ignore safety protocols. unfortunately most viewers aren't going to take it that way and may make the mistaken assumption that Hollywood is trying to be realistic in these new sci fi movies and so therefore most audiences will believe that the filmmaker studied these things and arranged the actors on screen to behave is exactly the way astronauts and space scientists would behave IRL. Bollocks!
