Manatee Season at Blue Spring State Park | 4K Nature Hike - Orange City, Florida

With a water temperature of 72 degrees year-round, Blue Spring is home to hundreds of manatees come winter time. At the time of recording, there were 193 manatees in the park, several of which were calves. It's one of the few places in Florida where you can see so many in the wild.
In addition to the manatees, Blue Spring is also a place to go swimming, rent kayaks, use paddleboards, or take some boat tours. Some amenities may not be available (such as swimming) during manatee season, which runs from mid-November to March. You'll also find several nature trails and cabins for the night, should you wish to stay.
Wheelchair and stroller accessible, it's a great place to visit for some outdoor time without spending a whole lot of money. Visitors pay by car with the cost of entry ranging from $4 for a single visitor and $6 for 2-8 people.
