I've seen yours as well. I generally don't do that before recording my own, to avoid bias, but in this case, I wanted to see if I was the only one 😂
Note : regardless of the arrogance of my original comment , I know and trust F&G w/T reviews , had I watched this , even though I picked up Congress on a good sale , would not have purchased , because , well , even though He is notorious for running aground and other silly antics , He is a very honest and genuine reviewer that I trust and rely on . I just let the excitement of a product on sale get the better of me , thank you as always , merry Xmas .
After AKF the game for a year and a half, I played the game again recently (caused I spent too much on previous premium ships). I didn't get Alasaka last time, so I got this one (I thought its gun reload time is 13s, making it possible to have higher DPS than Odin in theory...). And what I also realize is that even if you get all the possible tokens in the event, you still need to pay for the ship (I had to purchase a large token vest to get it)... Anyway, it's always glad to see Terry you are still making videos and reviews for the game (I should have watched this review before I paid for it 🤣another regret after the BB Lenin)

My god, I am so speechless at how abysmal it is, literally I cannot muster something. But I can agree about something, as someone that lives in the US, this thing handles exactly like Congress. This thing is the precise definition of throw a lot of shit at the wall and something will stick, except the thing is it isn't sticking. Anyway, I considered buying it, and when I went against one in an Iowa (or I think in my Francesco) I realized he could hardly hit me, and then I was like massive cruiser needs some 406mm guns into his citadel. Yea these things are abysmal, I now know what to do, and it won't be to buy this thing.
Wait so without even using it yourself you know what’s up ? Completely ridiculous , anyways , I picked it up , and if it is in fact trash , I will report , maybe HE is the way to go . Granted I have not yet run it , but am confident I can make it work , I’ll let you know .

I've so far lived in Germany and Australia for extended periods of time, and I tend to ignore politics. It's a clown show at the best of times, usually, regardless of where you go.

I think you overlooking that she is a nice looking ship with camo. She would look good in overflights.

Also as an American, this ship is basically the embodiment of "fiction imitates reality". And no, our Congress isn't as bad as all you non-Americans have heard it to be.

In tech tree, Tier 8 has a ton of good cruisers. Amalfi, Cleveland, Chapaya, Takao, Wichita, etc...
Which is a good thing. I'm always happy to say, if a premium is a miss, or even if it's a good one, "but you can always get something similarly capable for free"
@@FunandGameswithTerry Buying the Congress (Cruiser 😂) doesn't make any sense. It sucks at being a Cruiser. I hate it's gun layout. If someone is dead set on buying tier 8 premium cruiser, there are decent ships like Mainz, Irian, etc.
I reckon Cleveland is more valuable than Congress. Congress seems a wee bit munted.
Cleveland has Sonar, Radar and AA Defense Alert skill. She also has good guns and AA.

The 12' guns on the Alaska fired super heavy shells which allowed it to hit as hard as older 16' guns and many 15' guns
Yeah they could even penetrate an Iowa class battleship if they want (if at the correct distance from the target) but this game seems to lack of Dev Team that tests and do adjusts. It seems they do a ship, look at it and say: "Ya that is good enough lets put in game for 15k gold"

With the Congress you can double you damage by shooting at your team. Not sure if causing damage with friendly fire is a glitch or an intentional joke
Anyways , yeah Terry is correct , while it is much more quick and nimble than you would think , it is pretty much just well , not at all impressive , spot on review .

hill, congress can barely land any shots and its secondaries are bad. just dont get it. hill is easier to play, think of it as a nicholas that lost a torp launcher but in return has fuel smoke.

Terry didn’t forget Destroyers don’t have citadels and AP don’t work on DDS, depending on the Caliber. If I was you I reload HE then AP but already knew that.
AP will overpenetrate for 25% if the penetration is too high for the armour on impact. But AP loses penetration over distance. So, depending on you initial penetration, and the distance you're shooting at, AP can actually be more effective sometimes. Since this ship has pretty weak pen, she works against DDs, provided you can hit them.

This is one of the earlier designs before they decided to really bump up the displacement.
I've had a cursory look at the archives, but didn't see a mention of this design or the guns used in twin turrets. Makes sense, if this is a smaller displacement, that she'd have twin guns, since the barbettes wouldn't fit otherwise. Cheers!
I’m a battle cruiser, super cruiser fanboy. It’s been a while but I took a deep dive looking into the Alaska class. It was one of the original designs with the 305mm in mind. Buffalo, is also an earlier design. Anchorage may be as well.., not sure. I remember a variant or two having torpedo tubes… makes sense if the 4x3 203mm variants would have had it.
I do agree with you though… in game they can be poor execution. I do well in them, most of the time… but I can see why they fall short of they’re intention. Especially this one.
When are you going to feature how congress holds up against a roma?

I knew that Congress was weak, ineffective, and costs way too much. But I came here to learn about the ship.....
Btw, are you going to do a review on the tier 7 Italian tech tree battleship Fettuccine Capicola or whatever it's called? I just bought one late last night, but only had time for 3 AI games to figure out it's guns and maneuverability. The main guns seem kinda weak for being 380mm..
After they finished porting into wowsb all premium ships from wows which have hot reputations there, they simply run out of ideas and begin to print out garbage premiums after garbage premiums.

They release one expensive garbage after another. Im done buying premuims. Im 17 and I wish i didn't buy half the things i bought. Except Fushun, that was great.
I'm 45, and I'm at the point where I literally have more ships than I have time to play. So while I could afford to keep dropping money on premiums, it's really a game of diminishing returns. I'm just here to make sure that if someone is new to the game, and feels like they'd want to spend some money, they don't end up wasting it.

predicted, this very heavy cruiser maybe will same like moskva, i have moskva and i confuse how to use it. big gun but not enough to pierce battleship armor, but overpenetration to dd in close. l two more face this ship at battle and defeat it with mainz
Moskva isn't a bad ship, she's extremely precise. Against battleships, you can hit the weaker bow and stern armour pretty reliably, and with APCS, the guns really start to shine.

Played this ship for three days with an elite commander, it’s dumbed down so bad it’s just complete garbage. Secondaries are the most useless I’ve ever seen on a tier viii ship. This thing takes damage like an Atlanta, it’s just a joke.
No armor?! I was able to tank 2 romas for 3 mins
those romas had skill issue then
