I play Alaska quite a bit and these random cits and mass fullpen volleys while angled totally happen every now and then. Tanks like a boss normally but then reminds itself "hey ima cruiser I should eat these AP like one". But who knows maybe Congress lacks some hidden secret über plating that makes cits more likely ;)

In my first random in the Congress, I ended up keeping a Petro occupied for a little time, before I remembered that Petro didn't have torps, and pushed in around the Islands we were both hugging, and sunk him. In my second random, I followed a Fubuki into one of the caps, surprised a Hatsuharu, he smoked up in front of me, and I lit him up with radar and sank him getting the First Blood achievement. Needless to say, Congress (the ship) was enjoyable and useful, the gov of the US, however, not so much.
I am so happy that players of your caliber have started to notice and point out how the battles are being manipulated by instantaneous unofficial nerfs/buffs (in the dispersion and accuracy for one example), also in armor toughness and game crashing, in order to bring the odds of win or lose to the predetermined side... This is a key feature of WG's load of crud mechanics for making money by attracting the larger number inexperienced players at the expense of the fewer more experienced ....
Sure WG sucks, but I think your tinfoil hat is a bit too tight. They have lousy servers, admitted as much and said they plan to fix it. That at least I think they will fix.

They've always had hilariously awful net coding. Got horrendous de-synch from the Singapore servers back in Beta testing after they released a patch that was supposed to IMPROVE performance. Hard to know if it was incompetence or they lied and it was meant to make it cheaper for them but ended up breaking something. Probably the last, lol. Meanwhile, I'm not sure which was most amazing: 1. how bad most of your team was, or 2. the enemy team managed to die despite how far ahead they were, other than the CV who of course was about as far away from anything useful as it's possible to be, or 3. that tier X CV not managing to murder a bunch of cripples at the end
I actually just picked up the congress recently myself, and honestly, i prefer the congress to the Alaska for some reason. Idk what it is, but the Alaska seems super weak comparatively whenit comes to tanking hits. Don't get me wrong, the Congress isn't hard to citadel itself, but as far as basic HE hits, and damage received from say rockets from planes or angled against AP rounds of other cruisers, the Congress feels way more survivable than the Alaska. Anytime I run the Alaska I feel like I instantly get focused the second I'm detected and all those HE hits just burn me down in seconds. Playing in the Congress however and I don't get instantly focus fired as much as well as being able to tank more of the weaker shell hits I do take. Idk, I probably sound stupid, but just going off the 2 weeks experience I've had playing the Alaska and Congress back to back, the Congress is way more enjoyable to be in.
Pay attention to the minimap, you'll see me line up the circle where the shells will land with his hull, thus getting a good shot. The minimap is your biggest source of information, use it!
I've never used Congress. I've not even really faced it. I've never seen it as a truly terrifying threat. But when I engage it, it feels like it has a magical veil of shell dispersion. I could fire a laser at it, and miss. So I just take an obligatory two perfect shots, then ignore it for the rest of the match. If it's surviving at the end, I go bow in and turn my secondaries on it and squeeze attention until my teammates can RNG enough fires to melt it down. Weird ship.
I love how they keep adding what if ship instead of historically relevant ships. Imagine something like the Washington being added, but naw man. I think that I would have rather seen the 16 inch Laska like the Navy was considering.
Congress has nice guns but every time I play with this shit everybody is focusing me because they think it's op ship which is not. And just 2 repairs is joke in it's case
Maybe Wargaming should only be allowed to move their operations out of Russia/Belarus if they remove CVs, subs, artillery, potatoes, stun mechanics, and anything else the streamers hate this week.
Also, its a crime you were shooting all that HE. that thing has excellent big heavy ap that slams on good hits. Those side on bbs would have been smacked had he pressed 2 90% of this game...
Some pretty spectacularly bad CV play on both teams. That must be how WG balanced the class. They won't nerf the carriers because they have been nerfing the carrier players.
The question is, who's copying who? It feels cringeworthy hearing these guys trying to talk like each other, like a couple of closet cleaners. It's a shame Flamu is such an excellent player, because his character stinks.
