It's two different colors because they activate each other. That is why it is able to harden within the socks, if not then you would just have clay in a sock
That has to be the most novel method I've ever seen to use 2 part silicone rubber putty. I use it to make molds for polymer clay...but toe pads for shoes... Novel and wild! Though if the ratios are off for mixing, the rubber can end up too hard to bend or too soft and not entirely set.
You need 2 colors so you can see if you mixed them enough. Once the mixture isn't streaky, you know you're good. If both parts were the same color you'd risk undermixing and the final mixture might never cure or it moght not have the desired properties
I am not a dancer but love ballet bc amazing, that being said I had NO IDEA this is what toe pads were. I thought they were just mini socks for your tootsies. Ofc there is something more in there! How interesting. Is this how all toe pads are?
No, most are just like a little sock basically for your toes, made out of different materials. Different people like different materials. But these are neat because they're molded right to your toes, probably even eliminates the need for spacers if you do it right, but I've never used this kind so im not sure
I used to be a ballerina for many years. You don’t “have to” especially now a days. But there can be eating disorders associated with being a ballerina. Depending on what school of dance you are in or what you do for work, there can be size or physical requirements unfortunately:/

i think she asked why they're not in the same color
@@nro7276, “I really don’t know why you need two different colors”
It's because they don't cure unless they are really well mixed so they are different colours so you can see if they are properly mixed
The 2 colours help you see if the 2 compounds are properly mixed together so they'll cure properly
@@nro7276 that's to see if you have mixed correctly the two "clay"

The clay is in two different colors so you can tell when it's properly mixed
"my favourite little torture devices" 😂😂
Mine too ❤❤
It's not clay, it's a 2-part epoxy. You mix the two active ingredients right before molding because it sets up within 30 minutes.
The 2 colors are 2 different things combining them together is what makes it become more solidified
You should censor out ur address! Gotta be safe
There are two different colors so you can tell if their fully mixed!🥰
Lol! Your brand new torture devices! They didn't have those fancy little things when I was dancing, thanks for sharing
My favorite little torture device 😝🤣
The two colors are different chemical compounds that when combined react with oxygen in the air! That’s why they’re kept separate
It’s always so cool seeing the process nd each new tech for prepping for ballet! ☺️ thanx for always sharing! 🫶
I've had the Perfect Fit toe pads for a while and love them

This looks like the same kind of clay they used to mould my sons hearing aid

Omg this would have been so helpful when I wore so much crap on my toes lol
Lo quiero...🎉
it's not clay, it's a polymer/resin/putty
thats why you have to combine them
Yes, but... exactly how expensive is it?😮😅
