I enjoyed your video. I liked the fact that you bent the head down at a 45 degree angle to do the cut. It reminded me that if you have the client sit up straight and bend their head down or put their chin on their chest , it makes the whole haircut a dream to cut by pulling the hair straight out from the head form and by setting your guide at the hair line in the shape of a horse shoe is your base line guide. Starting center back as your first guide helps your from getting lost in the haircut. And them pull everything from both sides to that center back saves you a lot of grief ! Then of course polish it off. Thank you for refreshing my memory😁great Video😍
I start taking clients at the salon I work at in just 2 weeks! Being a new stylist is kinda scary, so I appreciate all the hard work you put into your videos. They help me so much! Keep up the great work :)
I'm so thankful that I found you. I'm a cosmetology student and I'm passionate about hair cutting. Your videos have helped me so much. Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge. You are great.!
This looks amazing and seems pretty easy to achieve. Of course, it could just be because you're that great of a stylist and a teacher. Thanks so much for everything you do.
Amazing tutorial as always, as a new student your overlaid drawings with arrows, elevation/angle- and finger angle- explanations, etc make a profound difference in my ability to understand and translate during my practice.
Just shared it with my sis. That's her fave haircut so she would know how to direct or ask what she wants from her salon stylist. Even more so she knows who's good or not :)
Matt I just to tell u that u are a great teacher! I tried ur technique on a client and let me tell u, it turned out amazing! I always have a hard time with stacked A-line but after watching ur videos ( which I'm obsessed by the way) it's a lot easier now. N believed me when I tell u I've watch a lot of hair tutorials. My client loved her haircut n I was even surprise how it turn out. Thanks u for videos n for being amazing! :D
you truly have a gift, not only with the way you cut hair but also the way you teach. Thank you for all u have and continue to teach and inspire me ✂✂✂
One of the hardest cuts to do correctly. I was taught under Scott cole who was trained under VS so I know how great this is if you learn to do it correctly...great job.
a stacked bob has always been kinda hard for me to cut, but you explanation was so good I feel more confortable cutting it now, thanks for sharing your knowledge Matt :)
New to ur channel....I like ur techniques. I've been in the business 20 year's and I've never seen anyone execute a simple Hair Cut the way that u do. I'm luving ur work...👌
I came here to watch this hair cut, but now I'm curious about YOUR hair cut. I'd love to see a video with whoever cuts your hair. I've seen your videos for a while and today your hair looks the best I've ever seen it! -Mike B
They say that those that can't do, teach! That is not the case for you Matt. I've been watching all your videos since gratitude and splitting hairs podcast. I almost watch the videos nightly. I wish they're was a better way to show my appreciation for all that you do within this comment, but it's impossible. Just know that youre awesome!!! #freesaloneducation
What a great stylist you are, thank you for taking the time to show us hairdressers new techniques and great hair cuts ,just wondering if you can show us an asymmetric hair cut on wavy hair
Thank you for doing this! However, I find doing a center balanced part works better for all clients and helps them not be locked into a specific part. Plus they won’t get long pieces on one side…
would love to see a LOB hair cut where the shortest sits on the shoulders and comes down a few inches in front? :) please and thanks always love your videos!
I always love watching your tutorials as there so good on the step by step and think your work is amazing,Thank you for sharing your skills as I find all your tutorials really helpful.
Love this look, great tutorial! Found your drawn on guides / pointers really useful and made it super easy to understand. Would really love to see a similar sort of hairstyle (I.e stacked at the back) with an asymmetrical finish. Shorter at the back angled towards the front like this one, but with one side short / one long ... hopefully that makes sense! Keep the great vids coming! x
Hi sir, please tell me that what will be the difference between the layer when we cut the hair elevation according to stationary guide line and travelling guide line. I like ur every haircut because ur all haircuts are perfect very nice and clean.
How do you know how long to cut the front? I want to understand how to frame their face. Also to possibly have bangs with the haircut. Thanks for all your hard work making the videos. They are really helping me.
I got into an argument with another veteran stylist because I was taught to do this haircut the same way you demonstrated but she insisted that that was a "hole". She didn't understand that you need to blow dry and then go back in. Thank you for this video.
hi there..i think you are fab not only as a hairdresser but a great cs person. i have watched your lessons for over a yr n i have a request pls.. i usually had my hair by my sis in law in a shag n luvd it...the top n front was shaged but from the precipedus(think its spelled rt) lol was long to my shoulders...can you show this for me so i can do myself... not a hairdresserbut luv to do my own style. tu so much.
This is my favorite cut ever. It literally took me close to 5yrs to achieve this cut. My question is why do stylists not know how to do this cut? After yrs of them cutting my length off my sides from hacking into the nape area leaving me with a heavy ugly shelf that was suppose to look stacked without the weight line being so prominent. SO, After years of stylist walking my length off, grabbing the clipper for my nape instead of the traveling guide, Im now having to do this myself backwards in the morror. Any help with that would be appreciative. I will not go to another salon for this cut, they either won't do it or don't know how. Even I understand this cut and can do it thanks to people like you who teach us, thank you so much. Again, Any tips on doing this cut diy, backwards in the mirror would be awesome. I don't have a lot to stack , lol😳
