It is very, very important for me to know your opinion about my work to improve the quality of video lessons. Write comments and like. THANK YOU, you are the best 🤗❤
This is an excellent video. The "blue item" she uses is a simple "hot hem" measuring tool that is maybe handmade. It looks to me as though she measures about 1/2" on that first edge, then presses to set it. Then about another 1 1/2", then presses to set it. The wooden tool she uses after pressing is called a tailor's clapper and it helps set the seams into crisp pleats as the fabric cools. It's not necessary, but if you have one, then you'll know how to use it. For the handles, they also look to be turned at the long edges 1/2" before adding a red stabilizer of some kind. Interfacing or felt would work nicely. The rest of the video is fairly straight forward. She does a great job of pressing her work as she goes for a beautiful end result. I might add a rigid rectangle of cardboard or plastic to keep the bottom strong and disperse the weight of my groceries. Beautiful bag - I'm beginning mine today. This looks like an excellent gift idea. Thanks for posting!
Just an update - I've made 2 of these reusable fabric bags & plan to make a bunch more. I have ordered plastic mesh sheets to cut to size and use inside on the bottom for stability and structure. The measurements I estimated in my first comment worked well.
I agree with an earlier comment. This is an excellent video with great techniques. I don't know what the red strips are that you used in the handles or the blue strip that you used when ironing. I would also love a supply list for this and other videos and links to the favorite items that you use. I saved this to my playlist And subscribed to your Channel.
Vous avez trouvé un tissu magnifique je vais me mettre à regarder dans les magasins en plus tout était super bien expliqué bravo et merci vous avez gagné un abonnement
Don’t listen to all the neigh sayers. You can’t please all do the people all of the time. You did an excellent and professional job on this video and I appreciate the work you put into it. Thank you.
❤️❤️❤️ WOW, absolutely fabulous video! This is presented in such a simple and easy to follow way, and that colorful fabric draws me in as well. I’ve made my other versions of reusable, but I like this one way better. I like that the handles are still cute but fully reenforced and softer on the hands and shoulders. Also, it seems so sturdy…you can probably put a watermelon in there!
Weird. 1.5 million views but on my screen at least, there's no likes. That can't be right. Nice design by the way. A flat bottom shopping bag like this is what I want as my next project. Thanks.
Красотень,руки красивые,женщина,наверное,тоже прекрасна,благо дарю!!!!!Сегодня день православных жён -мироносиц,поздравляю всех женщин,девушек,сестер с православным женским днём!здоровья,счастья и Благословений
Thank you for sharing how to make the bag. Is the wood block is a seam presser? What is the red stripe you sewed inside each handle? The design is nice and the pressing you does absolutely gives your bag a professional polished finish. Thank you for sharing!
Every bag you make becomes my favorite But this one is THE ONE: It's so neat and the video has it all so clearly. I have Subscribed and told others about your work.
Thank you for sharing your technique… the music alone makes me want to jump up & whip up one of these bags right now! Brava! (Saw some complaints about the music…apparently those people don’t know they have a volume button on their device 😂)
So glad I happened upon your video…I love this! The best and prettiest shopping bag I’ve seen. I will definitely be making some of these. Thank you 🙏❤️🙏❤️
What is the block you use to go over the surface after ironing? I have been sewing for 60 yrs & never saw that before!! Very professional editing & clear presentation!
It's called a tailor's clapper. It helps draw out moisture from a steamed seam, and when set on a seam after pressing, it makes the seam lay very flat.
IMHO - It looks like she is using a piece of home dec fabric or reg. cotton fabric with a light weight fusible on the back. (18” x 37”). On the bag, the lines on the blue hemming tool look like 1/2” lines to me. First fold looks like a 1/2” fold followed by a 1” fold. The two handle straps measure (20” x 4”) look like there’s a 1/2” fold on each long side. I am not sure what the red thing is that she puts inside but it could be 1/2” double fold bias tape or 1/2” twill tape as a reinforcement inside the handle. She then folds the pressed handle strap over that red thing and top stitches down the length on both sides. The handles would be 20” x 1-1/2” wide at this point before being attached to the bag. The wooden thing she is using is called a tailor’s clapper which is used after steam pressing. I love how neat this bag looked when she finished sewing it.
Me encantó el vídeo.🎉. Muy versátil. Aprendí de una 😊. Y muy alegre su música. 🎉 Fiesta caribe😂😂. Pero..... Que es lo que le pasa a la tela después de planchado? Me declaro ignorante con eso . Por favor si alguien me lo dice❤❤. Felicitaciones desde mi terruño Venezuela ❣️🇻🇪❤️

Beautiful shopping bags .you do a wonderful job. What is the tool that you use after the iron???
What is the blue item you use in folding the edges?
What is the red thing in the handles?
I enjoyed watching you work and you made a crisp looking bag. Thank you for sharing.
I enjoyed watching the bags you make and I'm wondering what are the measurements on the folding tool you are using to get such perfect edges?

Beautiful easy to follow video. Lovely bag & so quick! I love it! But please, what is that brown object you rub on the material after you iron it????
