I used to not like Yu-Gi-Oh GX as much as the others like 5ds or arc v and thought nothing would change my mind but then I watched sub and see DIO's voice and now love this even more but still same spot cos yuya has Giorno's voice

GX manga ran from 2005-2011, and was only created in response to the anime spin off that started airing in Japan in 2004. Kazuki Takahashi is also a huge Jojo fan and was partially inspired by Stardust Crusaders. So no, it’s a Jojo reference. But seeing as GX aired years before Jojo was adapted into an anime, Sartorius sharing a VA with Dio was a coincidence.
