We use cardboard with a layer of compost or bark on top to suppress weeds. I also grew Valerian from seed last year and have several plants now. Good luck! 😊
You will eventually have weeds with cardboard and bark chips but they are much easier to pull when they do sprout up. Even if there is a truly impermeable layer underneath, weeds happen in the decomposing chips. Ask me how I know😅
Careful with sorrel it is a member of the dock family. Very deep tap roots and will take over your garden. I have been digging it out of the ground ever since I planted it. It is every where I didn’t want it. I would suggest keep it in a pot.
Hello Karen, good to see you again. I hate gardening, it's not my thing. But Lina loves it, she's got green fingers, LoL. Takes all kinds i guess. Bob.
That was very interesting. I may have to go to there some time. Shelter belts do help. We are a very small section but have fences around us so this has created a micro climate for us. Many thanks Annamieke from Kawerau
Lovely to see spring far ‘down under’ while we battle cold and snow.
Omgoodness, he's grown up so quickly!😊❤

A lot of great gardens! Looks like you’re doing your homework to create a flourishing garden.
There just so much I want to do and not enough time!
Now have caught up with your travels How is the house coming along
Looks good but i hope you had the permission of the owners to go onto their properties
A mix of edible and ornamental would be my choice ,finding plants that are complimentary .
Where are you now Karen it has been awhile where we have seen you putting on this video as it is the last one
