Mee name is Allen Hart and in today's video I'm going to show you how to connect your Salus KL08RF Smart Underfloor Heating Wiring centre to your Salus Smart Home Network.
This is part of the Salus Smart Home range.
The KL08RF is an 8 to 12 zone wireless wiring centre. It can be controlled through the Salus Smart Home app in conjunction with the SQ610RF, SQ610, the TS600 or the HDR20RF. You can also use this as a standalone system.
The wiring centre has three sets of actuator terminals per zone or you can choose to link multiple zones to one thermostat.
To use as part of the Salus Smart Home network, make sure you remove the USB coordinator from the front of the wiring centre. The coordinator is used for an offline setup - and we'll cover this in a separate video.
To start, power up the device with a 230 volt power supply, the device will now go into pairing mode. You can confirm this by the flashing green light on the wiring centre.
Go on to your Salus Smart Home app on your phone or your PC. If we tap on the three lines, if we go to settings, setup equipment and scan for equipment.
This may take a few minutes.
Your KL08RF will appear as “IT600 wiring centre” and as we can see it's appeared on there. So if we just click on there, click on connect equipment and then you can name this equipment. So we'll name this underfloor heating…UFH.
Click on next, click on finished. That's now connected to the Smart Home network. When you go back to the home screen, you will not see the wiring centre. This will be hidden in the background under all equipment.
You are now ready to add a firm as that to your wiring centre. I've chosen the SQ610RF. I've already done a video on how to connect the SQ610RF onto your Smart Home network and you can just do that by clicking on the three lines and go to setup equipment.
For the purpose of this video now, we're going to connect the thermostat to the wiring centre. So all we need to do on the app, go on to this thermostat, which I've set it as underfloor heating stat.
So we just click into there, click onto the white line on there and there’s different options, you can set it onto whatever you need to do. But for the purpose of this video, we're going to put it onto underfloor heating wiring centre, click on next and then there's a drop down box there. We're going to click on underfloor heating 1, click on next and then we choose the zone that we're going to connect this thermostat to. And we can choose as many zones there as we want to. For purpose of this video, I'm going to put four zones in there, this first four sections there and then we just click on pair.
This may take a few minutes, so just be patient.
Then it asks, would you like to run the default schedule? I'm going to click on no for this one. 12 hour complete setup.
We can then go to the start and we can test it on here by turning the temperature up.
We just click it up, turn the temperature up on there and then that will get the wiring centre. It will connect to the wiring centre and it will turn them on.
As we can see there, it's turned the four zones on that we've set up on the app.
That will then turn your boiler on or whatever it needs to do. There will be a delay on that. There's normally about a three minute delay on this and that just prevents the pump pumping against a closed valve.
That wraps up today's video. I hope you found it useful. If you've got any questions on the KL08RF or any of the Salus Smart Home products, please leave a comment below.
And as always like, comment, subscribe, all that good stuff and I'll see you in the next video.

Hi Allen. Thank you for a fantastic video. I did have issues with getting the IT600 online. Gateway is solid blue and I had success in setting the thermostates up in offline mode. The reasoning is that the It600 stayed ‘offline’ despite removing the USB stick, so has todo it the old fashion way. So it works. That being said, thermostates are paired, everything works, but I never managed to get the thermostates and It600 to show green in the app. How do I manage that? Currently I can’t manage it all in the app, only the UGE600 as the IT600 stays offline. Thanks in advance!

Super good videos - thanks. You let it look very easy, I have been struggling with several beginner issues. But you videos helped. My biggies issue left, is the extension from 8 to 12 zones. It simply will not connect together. Do you have a video that shows what to be aware off. I chose to make the setup with WiFi and Bridge, but the new app premium lite is almost killing me. It keeps forgetting the bridge and needs to be searched for each time I start the app. Have you tested the new version. ? Thanks again.
