Der Text wurde im April 1848 vom ungarischen Dichter János Arany geschrieben, nachdem er sich den Nationalgardisten anschloss und 1848/1849 für ein freies Ungarn und gegen die Vorherrschaft der österreichischen Habsburger kämpfte. Die Melodie entstand vermutlich 1851.
,,Nemzetőr dal" ist eines der patriotischen Gedichte, die Arany während dieser Zeit schrieb.
Gespielt wird das Lied von ,,Imre Magyari and his Orchestra".

The lyrics were written in April 1848 by the Hungarian poet János Arany after he joined the National Guard and fought for a free Hungary and against the domination of the Austrian Habsburgs in 1848/1849. The melody was probably written in 1851.
"Nemzetőr dal" is one of the patriotic poems that Arany wrote during this time.

Inhaltlich gut übersetzt, obwohl "garajcár" eher "Kreutzer" sein könnte als Pfennig, aber im Wesentlichen macht diese Kleinigkeit keinen Unterschied. ❤
