Such a shame we cant have full length high speed routes. The technology they used for Microsoft flight simulator is really needed for train sims
It would be really helpful but not in the way you'd think. Using it to model the map and route would be impossible because the devs have to study the courses in order to make them realistic. But it would be useful to create the world around the track and stations, since it would not be required for the devs to decorate houses and trees, and it would make it so they could create routes much faster.

@@MegaChallanger Again, it's not that easy, flight simulator gets away with it because air works the same in every part of the earth, so it doesn't require any special attention. But railroads aren't the same, if a signal is placed incorrectly it makes it really difficult for players who don't use the HUD, among other things. So as i said, it would be very useful to build everything around the track, but not the track itself, which is still a very big advantage since we would get more content and the devs have less to work on.

It is - "High Speed Rain" is, in fact, my favorite route - both in the game AND to watch on RUclips (and not just footage from the game - the footage from the cab is to die for also. Along this same area is the official SNCF "race track" used when establishing records. (That means that - if you wish to - you can put YOU in the shoes of the Alstom/SNCF "record busters" - yes - there is video footage of the run.)
Some train games video irritating but this game video and graphics professional we are enjoying full video don't skip video bacause amazing tq for telecasting gaming 💝

Yay! All hail the new line!
New it's not (except to simulators). LGV Mediteranee was a planned extension extension to TGV Sud (TGV South). The TGV system was built on the backs of the French nuclear- power electrical infrastructure AND the forced reboot of the original SNCF railway reconstruction plan based on gas turbine helicopter engines. (The reboot was a necessary due to the Arab oil shock of the 1970s.) I don't dismiss it - it made sense at the time - what I find stupid and silly is the attempt to frame it in terms of *green energy*. (It could be exportable in terms of an "all the above" energy infrastructure - or even an all-fossil-fuels energy infrastructure. (Not kidding - the PRC is building more coal power plants to drive their own large electrical railway infrastructure rebuild.) Image and emotion - not logic.)

Facts is this game is over 160 gb of space with all dlc
It's because of DLC size (not unique to TSW 2) that I invested in a Seagate 4 TB Barracuda Compute last year - Windows (either 10 or 11) lets you have all 4 TB as a single El Humongo partition - and in my case, it is exactly that. It's also fifty percent faster than the 1 TB drive it replaced - and costs twenty-five percent less (street price vs. street price). You are reading the specs right - three hundred percent more capacious, fifty percent quicker, AND twenty-five percent cheaper in absolute dollars - and it's the same size in terms of physical space it eats in the computer - despite those same specs. I paid $90USD for mine last year; it's $75USD now (Amazon Prime in both cases). It's a duplex version of the Avelia Liberty about to hit the rails in the US; both are, in fact, made by Alstom - I am hoping that a future version of Liberty will be in duplex form.

We see you crossing the marker at a speed of 234km/hr, the TVM now displays 230 in diamond blinking, which means you should be below 230 before crossing next marker, but at that same moment on the HUD it signifies that you're speeding and that your speed should be below 230 in this section !!!!! How is that ???
Am I missing something ??? Should I be disregarding the HUD speeding warning while TVM is active ???
It's kinda still confusing to me ! The TGV system displaying a blinking 270 in diamond means that I should be below 270 before crossing next marker, right ??? Means, I can cross the marker at 169, right ?? If that is so, then why does the HUD shows that I should be below 230 already after crossing the marker before which TVM was showing blinking 270 in diamond ???
"HUD it signifies that you're speeding" huh? I thought it was indicating that the train was _not_ speeding ... "Driving UNDER the speed limit +30"

Hi! I have a question. How do you set up the train by yourself? If i go with a train it sets it up for me and it annoys me.
What are you playing on? (When I play on PC, I set up the train myself - which you get walked through the first time you do it. (I don't use a controller - or RailDriver; I use a keyboard and pointing device: both are wireless.))

Sadly no, apart from having like 1min to setup lights and turn the reverser key, the train is always started up for you. It would be great to be able to start cold and dark like in all flight simulators.

Take a gander at "Return to Marseilles" - the same route with better weather. (I have nothing against "High Speed Rain" - I've tackled it myself, and had fun doing so.) Weather challenges add a nasty factor to ANY sim - and TSW 2 is definitely no exception.

For fun, I compare my playthrough to RUclips videos of the same route (not from TSW 2, but shot from the train cab); basically, THE penuultimate realism test for any sim - compare it to the real deal.

Irrelevant - it's available on all platforms - including PC. I have taken a look at TSW 2, and it runs just fine on even midrange PC hardware (and I run on a G3259 - which isn't even that).

What's are the requirements for a computer to play this game
Amazingly low - my own platform is the following - G3258, 1320x768, 8 GB DDR3, Windows 11 Pro for Workstations, nVidia GTX1050Ti. Problems - none. (I use a 32" Samsung HDTV for display at that 1320x768.) I do both the LGV scenarios - "High Speed Rain" and "Return to Marseille" - in fact, I haven't run into one I can't do yet settings-wise. If you want (and if, like me, you live in the US), look up the same route on RUclips - this is a real TGV route. It may not be perfect, however, other than that, it's real enough for a sim (and more realistic than most sims for PC have been prior).
