This was definitely one of the strangest experiences we’ve ever had. Traveling to the Damanhur community in Italy and being allowed to come document their world was a confusing and fascinating experience leaving us with more questions than answers. So we hope that you take everything in here with a big grain of salt. We got very close to not posting this story and feel we did our best to see represent our experience. Enjoy the ride…

It does not hurt that people tries to evolve in different ways, and since everything is constantly evolving our perception will change. We do not know everything, and probably never will. Lets embrace our human ability to imagine things before it is created, because only those who believe in any idea has the possibility to achieve it. Thank you so much for allowing this to be a mystery you couldn’t quite define, and allowing Damanhur people their dignity. I was there this May for about 3 weeks. I had only positive “vibes” and experiences with the people, made friends, benefitted from the trippy looking treatments, and came away with a deep respect for this community. One of the most fascinating aspects to learn is that the people who’ve built and created the underground temples are ordinary people who learned their artistic crafts as they went. They believe everyone has artistic talent of some kind, and it gets better the more you use it. You can see it from room to room, the mosaics for instance in some of the earlier rooms are not as refined as the newer rooms. And over the years teams of artists develop who often refine what was started. It is remarkable!! To help our visiting group understand the process, they led us through an art project where we each had a space on a huge piece of construction paper, yards long, and we were told to paint whatever we wanted. Once we were all done, we were then asked to stand next to someone elses work. Then we were told to start adding to someone the other persons work. No one wanted to do this at first, wanting to respect the painting and not offend the original artist. But once we got into it, everyone working on everyone elses art piece, we got more comfortable and saw that the entire piece was growing more beautiful. Then we switched a 3rd time. By then end, the entire work was exloding with color and creativity that we truly made together. They then explained this is how they work on the art in the underground temples. Together. A bit mindblowing, especially considering how extraordinary the underground temple is.

Satan and his minions can come to spiritually discerned people as angels of light and deceive them. Angels of light meaning he can put on a false image of himself portraying goodness and innocence to deceive you. If you look at the teaching of Jesus he mentioned nothing about religion, in fact he rebuked the “religious” that followed traditions of men. Christianity means “a follower of Christ” all we have to do is humble ourselves by believing in what Christ did on that cross and by admitting we are in need of a savior due to our rebellion of Gods law and commands and repent of our sin and we shall be saved. All other “religions” view of salvation is work based, you’re good has to our way you’re bad. Try using you’re good deeds as a way to justify you’re crime in a court of law. If the judge is a just judge he will still serve justice. Just as the God of the Bible will do on the day of judgment. Look at it this way me and you broke Gods law and Jesus paid the fine, so God can justly let us go if we are covered under the blood of Christ. And as I said before Jesus said in John 14:6 “I AM the way the truth and the life”

They respond to all the stuff that's religious though. When they did the Hindu stuff they acted the same way. Most of this is just the possibilities your mind thinks of. It's just picking thoughts out of your mind and creating stories, the human brain is crazy and this is how it works. It's the same as dreams, whatever your brain pulls up first, it throws it in a melting pot. Their minds are just cycling through things they already have learned. You will notice through all these things that they never bring up things that are new to them, things they haven't discovered. If this were truly brought from past lives, they would "remember" things that they didn't already know, but their brain is just pulling up things they already have known as said before.

From the types of experiences they described it really felt like they experienced something very unusual. It takes courage to admit to yourself that you had an experience that you can not fully explain, rather then making up some theory about it to reaffirm yourself because you are scared of the possibility that you might have been wrong about something. I 'm not a theist, but I do value being honest with yourself, even when it threatens your current believes about something. Because there is always a possibility of learning something new (it doesn't have to be magic per se, but there could be a lot of explanations why you have a certain experience, the point is being honest with yourself that it happened rather then repressing it). Cognitive dissonance is a typical occurrence for both theist sand non theists; and from my perspective it seems less relevant to question of why something happened before allowing your mind to acknowledge THAT it actually happened, otherwise our mind will repress it and fill it up with false memories. You don't always know the answers right away, but in order to fit the pieces together, you need to make sure you are dealing with an undistorted memory of those pieces in order to be truly transparent with yourself.

I love how you are sharing your own discomfort in this video and reading the reactions, how much discomfort it triggers from so many. I've been watching this video with great pleasure, it felt like around every corner there was a new surprise. People tend to put a label on everything and are confused when they can't. Some might call it a cult, others a microsociety, others a spiritual organisation, I guess the only right word is the name they gave themselves and that is what they are. As you said, if they are not hurting anyone but becoming productive, creative and live happily, why would any outsider need to judge it? Well done for the storytelling, i think it's one of your most honest videos and would actually love to see more content that even triggers us as watchers to a new level of discomfort. As one of my favourite quotes say "comfort is the enemy of progress", which is why I amazing you gave us something to progress in our minds.❤️

Oh man I went here over a decade ago and stayed for 2 weeks, getting a full tour. The trip was organized by artist Alex Grey. I read an article about the place in What Is Enlightenment? magazine and it sounded cool and also saw an ad in the same magazine that Alex Grey was taking a group so I was like fuck it, I'm gonna go.
I can honestly say everyone I met there was lovely. We even got to have dinner and hang out in regular people's houses there. I met people my own age at the time (I was 22 then), many of whom had grown up there, and they were totally down to earth and chill, but the one girl I really talked to said she was probably not going to stay living there but had nothing bad to say about the place. It was like a kid growing up in a small town, she wanted to live in a proper city.
So yeah after 2 weeks there and having countless interactions with the people there, they all seemed shockingly normal, just decent people trying to live their lives. Also as a community they have a wonderful sense of humor and they live mostly normal lives on a day to day basis. Sure the ceremonies they have are pretty out there, but most people in the community just live a normal day to day lives and are generous and caring towards one another and also good to other locals that aren't part of the community.

There is coming more and more real evidence of our abilities such as intuition (knowing whats good for us before actually doing a decision or reacting before seeing a threat), remote viewing/astro projection (seeing without being in the same place with our physical body/out of body experience or clearly seeing an object you hold while them having blindfolds), telepathy and more. Ive witnessed a person do this in front of me and there is actually documents/documentaries of the US Government and Russia that they use some of these abilities for spying. Have you ever come to think that (maybe) witches got burned/killed because they had the power to see more than the government/elite wants us to see and understand? If piece, love and freedom is the result of this community Im sure most people will accept this. This might be one of our next steps in our spiritual journey.

Van Gogh's famous Gauguin, Fridas own husband Diego was her mentor, you idnt even mention Van gogh who was only partially self thaught, meaning he took some lessons and read books on his own. I am an animation and motion design student, im an artist but to make animated movies i am required to have a formal diploma. You forget about modern day artists completely using that statement. Have you ever watched a disney, pixar, studio ghibli movie, an anime, arcane? You may not know the names of the artist behind those magnificent works but those gems wouldnt exist without formally educated artists. These days we have people with no training whod throw paint at a canvas and sell it for thousands, you know their name, but theyre not creating anything new or spectacular. Now i do agree that illustration courses dont allow much artistic freedom, that formal art courses very very often kill the uniqe qualities of artists but not all and just because someone decides to learn from university doesnt make them a 'Fake artist'. That is a wild and unfair statement especially seeing as your own examples contradict and refute themselves.

After watching this video I visited Damanhur, as I'm obsessed with different travel experiences. I went on a one day visit.
I am not 'a convert' as there is no need to be.
But I understand this special place.
The spaces gave me some space to really think. For a busy head that just needs to not be judged...this was miraculous

After almost 5 years of being a subscriber to this channel, I'm certain this is the best channel youtube has ever seen in the last years... It is amazing how yes theory makes you live so vividly experiences that maybe we're not able to experience ourselves just by watching a 20/30 minute video, and by doing so they take us out of our comfort zone, which is clearly their main objective. These guys obviously promote being open minded and with each video I feel more like doing so, and probably every usual viewer does so too... that's why this channel is so enriching. It is hard to explain, but they've developed more that a way of living by following their "seek discomfort" slogan. Can't get enough of these guys and their community, and I'm so glad keep getting better and bigger.
Still waiting for the to visit Argentina tho....👀

Assuming that I don't like closed communities and sects, they give me a sense of imprisonment, I can say, as an Italian, that in Italy we are very skeptical about Damanhur. Experiences like 'astral travel' have no scientific basis and are therefore hard to believe. But what strikes me about this community, having seen several videos and television programs about it, is that people are calm, I see them at peace with the world and nature, so there is certainly something positive in the experience of life they are leading.

As someone going through a major spiritual awakening this place is magic. I just found your channel and I have to admit im so jelly rn over your constant adventures! This is such a vibe. Its actually pure synchronicity as I just started studying leylines TODAY (my phone is definitely listening to me) 'Energy paths' and 'synchronic lines' (so cute, so funny) I 😅are leylines. That create basically a grid over the planet. 🌐 New Energy is released from the Earth here and denser (negative) energies can be transmuted there. Ancient civilizations all thrived with not even basic but broad knowledge and understanding of these leylines and the purpose of them. They create power spots. Many temples/pyramids/cathedrals/shrines all over the world are all built on ley lines and its intentional. I'm moving to England soon so I've been mapping the leylines there. LOVE THIS VIDEO, I subscribed- im defs a fan 💖

      Matthew 18 ►
(New International Version) "At that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Who, then, is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?”
He called a little child to him, and placed the child among them. And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me."
“If anyone causes one of these little ones-those who believe in me-to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea. Woe to the world because of the things that cause people to stumble! Such things must come, but woe to the person through whom they come!"

When speaking about cults, you have to remember that founders are very smart about how human body acts in certain situations. Enough u gonna take away one important vit or mineral from food to get some physical consequences that you can use into your advantage saying it's supernatural. So in this case it is very propably.

I appreciate the honest skepticism in this video. I feel like sometimes when RUclipsrs visit a supernatural site, they ham it up and pretend to be convinced by what they're seeing, to make the video more exciting. And it's obviously fake because if they actually believed what they were seeing, they wouldn't go back to making normal videos afterwards and never talk about it again.
Here, they explain exactly how they were reacting to the experience. They were trying to keep an open mind and be respectful, but it was a struggle sometimes, as I'm sure it would be for many of us.
This isn't a knock on the people depicted in the video. They made an awesome temple and they seem to be happy, so they're doing well.

TY, I hadn't even heard of this and in my own case I spent time in a few Hermetic orders (AMORC, BOTA, etc.). My take on this stuff first and foremost - it can be incredibly helpful, not just in terms of health and internal holism but also in the self-authoring context, to be able to amphibiously play in these spheres, the trick is you have to explore it on your own, find what works for you, and not let anyone tell you that there's 'one way' to do it (though it helps to see how deep some of the systems go). The idea is that all of it very well could be auto-suggestion, the trick is then to look at the autosuggestion as a toolkit and figure out the different ways you can leverage it to heal when needed but also be able to shift your own gears more manually and take the maintenance of your own internal psyche in a more hands-on manner. For magick and anything like that at this point - I really don't know, I've found enough that's of value without needing to stress external validity of internal experiences that I stay open-minded to the possibility that we might be dealing with broader forms of consciousness (a lot of interesting theories pop-up like Hoffman and Prakash's Conscious Realism or Wolfram's hypergraph and rulial space which tied out with panpsychism or functionalism go to the same place) but - to be utterly fair to those who are more skeptically inclined, we even know now that DMT can carve off seemingly autonomous entities within us in waking states the way we'd experience our landscapes in dreams, so by that point trying to pin something down as truly external rather than internal seems like like an exercise in futility. That's where you really have to lean on this stuff pragmatically on one hand and keep your sense of survival and threat salience well ordered at the same time.
