    New to airsoft, and I have no idea what you just did.
    But I came because I am curious on the L85 gun, and was just damn hooked on your video. I loved every second of it

    Finally got round to putting a nano aab mosfet in my l86, followed your video although I must say it wasn’t my first and only watch of it lol, with no electrical experience I found it pretty easy and my god does it improve rof and trigger response. So happy just to add a new hop up rubber to your custom rotary hop up and she’s good to go. Never stop mate, your videos are by far my favourite content, or at least on par with aatv! It won’t be long until il be ordering a bayonet to make big slappy a shhhlong slappy lol

    Oooh, a WARFET. I have a NanoAAB currently on mine. Might upgrade to a NanoHard or a WARFET (if I have the cash).
    Your placement is where I should've placed mine. I'll probably redo it once the new mosfet comes in. My mosfet is sticking into the handguard, and we all know how tight on space those A2 railed handguards are.

    • @EnglishKiwi
      @EnglishKiwi  3 года назад +1

      yep I didn't want to sacrifice battery space, hence the placement in the receiver! Unless you're looking to do something fancy like 3rd burst I'd say stick with the AAB :D

    Hey kiwi, have you seen the VFC LAR (FN FAL) GBBR revealed by them last week?
    The long awaited first FAL GBBR! And looks insanely well detailed too, as we've come to expect with VFC GBBRs.
    Would be awesome if we saw these adapted to look like L1A1 SLRs. Would be even greater if VFC made a SLR version of their LAR too!
    (Also they showed off their Licensed HK PSG-1 GBBR which looks insane, definitely worth checking out too!)

    • @EnglishKiwi
      @EnglishKiwi  3 года назад +2

      I have indeed! As soon as they release them in the UK I'll be looking to pick one up! Unfortunately there's a lot of work need to get a FAL to look like an SLR, but a rough aproximation is doable, however I'm hoping they release a proper SLR at some point soon :D

    warfet is a classy mosfet. all the basics and very reliable. Titan in V2//v3(I.E NOT L85) is too expensive unless you literally need every feature, which 99.9% of those who buy it dont

    • @EnglishKiwi
      @EnglishKiwi  4 года назад +1

    What's the point of a MOSFET on the ICS L85 out of curiosity? It certainly doesn't need trigger contact protection and doesn't sound any sharper than mine with just a Dean's conversion?

    • @EnglishKiwi
      @EnglishKiwi  3 года назад

      I'd say the ICS SA80 is one of the only rifles that don't need a mosfet to be able to handle lipos. However that being said if you want any additional features, like burst fire or trigger lockouts for DMR purposes you'll only be able to get that through a mosfet. Also no matter how good the mechanical trigger they will eventually succumb to burnout, so if you have the time/money for a fet its worth doing.

    • @EnglishKiwi
      @EnglishKiwi  3 года назад +1

      A high torque motor can help with cycle time. Also a reshim can help, if the gears are currently too tight that'll slow everything down a bit.

    • @EnglishKiwi
      @EnglishKiwi  3 года назад

      Have you picked it up yet? I've heard quite a few grumblings about issues with the first batch of the new Ares, inverted selectors, FPS and accuracy inconsistencies and some welds failing! Might be worth holding fire for a few months untill the second batch comes through and hopefully has those issues rectified 😀

    • @iSkateAlso
      @iSkateAlso 3 года назад +1

      @@EnglishKiwi I have ordered it, and been informed it is part of batch 2, so hopefully those issues have been ironed out. I think the main problem was people using 11.1's, although you can, doesn't work well with the downgraded spring. I plan to use 7.4v only ... i'll see how it goes!

    • @iSkateAlso
      @iSkateAlso 3 года назад

      @@EnglishKiwi just to add onto that, the issue with fps fluctuations was due to using 11.1. Because of the downgraded spring, the gear box would do a cycle and a half, thus the 'second' shot having considerably lower FPS.. just as an FYI!
