- Advance, NC, near Lexington, was a first for us. It was our first time visiting a Thousand Trails campground and our first stay after going full-time. We spent 14 days at the Forest Lakes Thousand Trail campground and, while there, took day trips all around the area. We enjoyed the farmer's market and Childress Vineyard. You should visit these places if you're ever in the area.

Cool Vineyard! We use pork rinds all the time as an alternative to chips and crackers, but I have never seen it offered in a restaurant. We will put this on our list! - Michelle

Hello I'm a new subscriber, just came across you video content on last week. I teared up when Mrs. banks spoke on the loss of her sister. I lost my mother Jan 2022 then unexpected a year later Jan 2023 lost my brother, this is very difficult losing him. He would always end our conversation by saying my name then "I love you man" The wife and I use to live in Alabama almost 20 years ago, now we live in Phoenix AZ, it's been quite a journey. I plan on retiring in about two years and the wife and I will do more traveling then, for now I will vicarious live through your travels. God bless.
Hey zozo…loss is definitely hard but I try to think of all the good memories i have of her. We were 10 years apart in age, so sometimes she thought she was my mama LOL. We really enjoyed the area. The park itself is not a resort type but it was a great stop for exploring the area. Make sure you try the Tarheel Q BBQ restaurant just down the street from the campground towards Lexington and Childress Vineyards. Let us know how you like it!!
