There definitely not the same but check out Kaonashi if you haven't before. Horse and the Number 12 are the only two bands that come to mind to describe them for me besides a hint of some emo bands in the la dispute vein.

Almost twenty years ago I was Obsessed with this band, and met them in Coldwater Michigan, they Played with one other band I remember called downtown brown, bought a Nintendo game controller bracelet that Eric's girlfriend made. Life happened and I can't believe it's been so long. Weird. I'm stone blown to cloud nine right now and went waaayyyy deep into thought lol. End note, this band helped me through being alone with no souls to truly connect with. I'm thankful for that, so regardless of what happens from now, they will always be a huge part of my life.
