Hi, is there anyway to get your source input to appear with its logo in the app bar on the bottom if that makes sense? So basically you dont have to go into the source section? I prefer the way that on Samsung tv you get the actual sky, ps4, xbox logo appear automatically when its detected as a source.

VLC only implements the DLNA media renderer service, the TV unfortunately also does the same. VLC does work with googlecast but not with miracast and for most likely legal/licensing reasons webos does not have support for Chromecast. The TV searches and it wants to find a server but VLC is not a server." What about hooking up an Amazon firestick and searching for it?

Ive been trying to figure this out for 2 months. My older TV was so much nicer and easier to navigate. This new tv is not intuitive and instead of watching something while searching for another it wants to shove ads and garbage shit down my throat. Im ready to trade this tv in for a samsung.
Hey Paul, just found that Apple has finally added the Apple TV app to certain LG TVs. I’m noticing that for Dolby vision content the black levels seem raised compared to what they should be. I noticed that it’s the same when using airplay to stream content from an Apple device. Last time we had Apple TV Dolby vision issues the problem got updated pretty quickly, hopefully they can fix this soon too.
If you long press/hold down the mute button on the remote it will launch the accessibility settings,in there you will see pointer options where you can change the pointer/size. Not all models have the bird pointer,you may only have the option of different sizes.

Well you’d like to think so,but there was a lot of debate in the comments section before if LG would do anything.Some said they would,other said they might if there was enough dead pixels and then there were others who said they won’t cover dead pixels at all.

You may see tiny black dots and/or brightly coloured dots (white, red, blue or green) at a size of 1 ppm on the panel. This does not indicate a malfunction and does not affect the performance and reliability of the product." That is the terms of LG. So it must depend on how many dead pixels you have. 😒 In my opinion Dead pixels in the year 2020 should not be acceptable.
Is there a setting to have previously opened apps close on its own? Sometimes there are 5-6 apps just in the background that automatically closes the current app in use due to memory usage.

It's unbelievable that my brand new 2022 LG tv remote doesn't have any voice capabilities. The LG remote looks EXACTLY like the very first remotes that came out when VCR's were new, like the late 80s. There's over 100 buttons on them I'll never ever use at least 50 of them, and I only use or recognize 9 of the buttons. They really need to make the buttons even smaller. 😖 So I go to Amazon to get a sweet modern universal remote, with voice capabilities, and nothing... they're exactly like the stock LG remote. They're using the same plastic molds to make these as they did back in '89, I swear! TV remotes, and computer printers, what the heck??
How is it people spend so much money on these brand name TVs and when something doesn't work properly you cannot get customer service to even fix the problem that you have.
I had a virgin media guy in today putting in new wires for the 4k boxes and he turned on my C9 to see if it worked and he said holy shit that picture is amazing! 🤣 he was fairly impressed

Yeah, LG kinda sucks with the warranty, I've also tried their support forum and got absolutely no response. So yeah, screw them. Thankfully I bought Best Buy's extended warranty thing and they cover screen/pixel issues, so I'm good for 5 years with my C9. owo

I have been deleting an app called Rakuten and it drives me mad because regularly it pops back on the TV and I can't find a way to exit the app when it happens other than turning the TV off then again removing the app. I wonder if every time there is an update they put these damn apps back. I wish I could permanently remove apps I don't want.
