I was never abused but I grew up in a household with constant yelling, arguing and fighting and have developed trauma responses due to that one of which being to flinch when people raise their voices at me, this audio was very comforting for me and while abuse wasn’t my experience I thank you for bringing attention to it
I relate to you so much and it doesn't help at all when people look at me like I'm over reacting when i flinch. I try not to flinch or get frozen or very upset, i try my best but I can't help it.🥲

I started balling my eyes out. I grew up all my life living in a verbally abusive houses. I shake very tune someone just raises there voice at me once. I apologize for everything and I’m not trying to trauma dump or be a “pick me”, but you make me feel like it’s ok to be afraid because of everything I’ve been threw.

I was surprised too😢😢😢... The truth is that when he raised his angry voice it scared me and made me remember the ugly and many times I had with my ex-boyfriend when I looked at him stressed while I wanted to comfort him. It was hard as he didn't want any more comfort from me or encourage him. It hurts me that I can't have a relationship where the two of us can be a loving, peaceful, tender and fair couple. In the end, I was the one who broke up with him just because he was about to yell at me in front of his parents, for kissing him so lovingly in front of some of his relatives. After many apologies from him, I refused to go back being his third offense..... I was foolish to have a relationship that he no longer felt anything for me. But in the end I didn't let myself fall in love with someone who doesn't appreciate my LOVE ❤️... I keep going being a good person, charismatic and with a big heart ❤️❤️❤️💖💖💖

It's an amazing audio, but the fact that you complimented the glasses really made me smile, it's something I've never heard in an audio (which is understandable when a VA doesn't want to set specific listener traits), it was really sweet!

Goddd I am very tired and layed relaxed listening and I thought the raised voice would be the yelling. So when the actual yelling happened it surprised me, and I live with a toxic mom who sometimes gets verbally and emotionally abusive, so once I went stiff and and ready to fight or fly I stayed like that for good 5 minutes listening and breathing lol. But the audio is great, I love this channel. Btw don't ever care about the statistics, they don't show your true worth, nor your work's worth. I know so many underestimated artists it's crazy. I started crying. I haven't had a physically abusive ex in the traditional sense. Most of my exes were emotionally and mentally abusive. But this, this was extremely comforting. I looked up comforting boyfriend asmr because I was really feeling the need to be comforted right now. I was in a relationship for 1 year and 8 months when he cheated on me after using my body for his own needs. This is super fucking comforting. Like, I'm just emotionally exhausted because of him.
