I am so happy you made this video! I never knew that one side of the safety chain was meant to be on the side with the bracelet. The climbing Mickey chain is SOOO cute!!! It is on my Wishlist, but the only thing that makes me nervous is if Mickey gets knocked off the safety chain. It looked a little fragile (when I saw it in stores), but that could just be me! I looove the Enchanted Heart safety chain too! It's so romantic!!!

Great video, Emily! And you are absolutely right about the chain measurements. When I went to get my safety chain in the UK, they tried it on me to make sure that it wouldn't fall off of my hand easily. I also really love the safety chains, because I think they make me a lot more confident wearing my bracelet, as I know I will not loose it, and they really do make putting them on and off so much easier! This was so helpful for me as I'm new to Pandora. I did purchase 1 for my bracelet for piece of mind. I would be devastated if I lost my bracelet as each charm has a meaning to why I purchased it.

I'm from Hungary, but I've been living in Ireland for the past 10 years. About the different length of safety chain it's common in whole Europe, not just the UK. You can purchase 5cm,6cm and 7cm length. :)
I have been collecting Pandora since 2015, I've a huge collection and personally I would not wear a bracelet ever without a safetychain. Makes your life easier to put on and take off the bracelet :) however I don't stress over what if I lose it because it will not fall.

Safety chains do come in different sizes here in Bulgaria and you not only get to pick your size, but also the lady in the store advises you which size to get depending on the size of your bracelet and the amount of charms. The more charms you have, the longer safety chain you need, otherwise it wouldn't slide through your hand.

Great video! I just bought a Pandora charm and it has a threaded core but it slides in the bracelet without having to thread it. Do you think it’s a faulty charm? Thanks
Yay 😆😆 I'm so glad you made this video, I learned more about safety chains I never knew. 😁 I have two safety chains, one is my Mickey and minnie heart, and the other is from the recent promo, I got the wildflower meadow safety chain. I love the variety in choices of safety chains, each one is very unique and can work with any design. I never knew that they were different sizes of safety chains. Whenever I looked on the US pandora website, it only allows one selection for the size. I'm glad there are different sizes that can work for everybody. I love having the chain on because it makes putting on the bracelet on myself so much easier. Also, Congratulations on 200k views 😆😆 you deserve it!!! I tried to exchange it but that's when I encountered the rude pandora lady. 😞😞 So as a precaution always double check your charms, safety chains and etc. I found out a month when I finally opened my birthday gifts. 😔 Hehe yes the wildflower one is so beautiful. I work for a pandora stockist in the uk and yes we do have different sizes for the safety chains. 4cm chains are recommended for a small wrist, 5cm for medium and 6cm for large. However, a lot of the new styles of safety chains are coming in with a 5cm option only (I think because that’s the most popular size that people prefer to wear). Hope this helps!

Thank you for this informative video. I never even thought that the safety chains came in different lengths. I love safety chains for the reasons you mentioned. I struggle with the clasp when putting the bracelet on, so the safety chain keeps the bracelet on my wrist. I also love how the chain elevates the look of the bracelet.
It really does elevate the look of the bracelet, it is so pretty and functional! I find it so much easier to put my Pandora bracelet on with the safety chain. I have a few bracelets that I still need to add safety chains to and when I put them on, it takes more time, haha! Hope you have a lovely weekend!

Wow. I just found out how the safety chain goes on with the swivel closest to the snap closure. Yes. It does keep my snake chain bracelet on when I do remove and am pleased I purchased thanks to the amazing sales woman I had. 😁 Cheers.

I feel like the Pandora Canadian stores have the same size available as in the states! When I checked both stores, it showed only one option. But it confuses me as to why my safety chains appear to be different lengths. Maybe Canada did have different sizes, at one point? It boggles my mind, HAHA. ;) ;)

I am so sorry to hear it comes undone pretty often. Safety chain will help for sure! I have found that some clasps come undone more easily than others though. I had the odd one that opened quite easily. I ended up taking it to a jeweller and they were able to fix it!

Hi there, loved your video, l totally agree with you, safety chains are so important, one of my bracelets did open one day and the safety chain saved it from falling off, l am in spain, here all the chains are 5 cm, but in the un and lreland, some of them come in 5,6 and 7 cm, l dont know why

From what you said, it seems like they do have different lengths of safety chains in Canada, but they just won't let you pick the right one for you as you buy it? It kinda makes no sense to me, because if the safety chain is too big, it'll allow your bracelet to slide off your wrist if the clasp opens, and you might still lose your bracelet... On the other hand, if the chain is too small, and you have to unscrew it everytime you put your bracelet on and take it off, it also defeats the purpose of having a safety chain. So it seems really weird to me that they just won't let you buy the one you want, maybe if you ask for a specific size they would give it to you?
Here in Poland most safety chains come in sizes from 4 to 7cms, except the newer ones, which are only 4 and 5cms, and you can always choose the size you want, or ask a sales assistant to help you pick the right length for you.

Hello I hope you have a good evening I have a quick question I received the Pandora lock bracelet it's like smooth thread it's not a chain.. but it's too big it's like a 7.9 and my wrist is a 7 do they make something to shorten the bracelet I don't like that I come so far down my hand and it's the one with the lock diamond so I don't want to keep banging my little lock I have not even worn it since I got it for Christmas. I have all the paperwork but there's not a Pandora close to me to go in and maybe exchange it I don't even know what to do and it was a gift any suggestions
Hello Lovely! I am so sorry for the late reply back. I am not sure if you have already found a solution, but here is what I would advise: personally, I would try to go to a Pandora store, when you have the opportunity as they would be happy to exchange the bracelet for the correct size for you. Some Pandora stores can also have the bracelet sent out to be resized (depends on the country), but sadly...again you would need to go into a store. If going into a pandora store is very hard, you could incorporate Murano charms (the glass beads) as this helps add additional width around the bracelet and tightens it slightly. However, the bracelet will also lightly stretch out, over time and you may still want a smaller size to be comfortable.
Another option: you could call the Pandora store it was purchased at and explain the dilemma. Or call Pandora customer service directly and see if they are able to help in any way!!!

My bracelet continued to open even after taking it to the store for a "fix". So I put it up, and it's been collecting dust because I didn't want to lose it. I'm going to try this safety chain and see if that works.
I have the moon and the stars safety chain and I feel like it doesn’t protect my charms it slips off. Am I doing something wrong?
Oooh, that’s odd! What kind of moments bracelet do you have it on? Does it have any threading on the side that connects to the closure/clasp? If there is no threading, I would suggest purchasing a Pandora silicone clip and placing that near the end of the bracelet. That will prevent the safety chain from sliding off!

Great video Emily 😘 I don’t own a safety chain yet. I put clips on all my bracelets’ ends. But as my charms are growing and I love finding older retired charms I am getting more nervous to have these pieces on without extra safety measures. Mean if something should happen to one of those pieces I can’t just get a replacement of the exact same one. So for that reason I am thinking I should get safety chains, or at least start with one and see how I feel with it. Haha yes I open my bracelets over the bed! So that they have a soft fall. I think it looks so easy when you take your bracelet on and off with a chain. I’m just wondering how people find the silicon safety chains? So they don’t screw over the threads and stay in place. But I’m thinking the ones you have might be easier as your bracelet moves through the day the screw on chains will move with it. The silicon ones’ chain might twist around your bracelet and charms as it doesn’t roll with your bracelet on your wrist.
Your question about lengths. Here in South Africa a few different Pandora stores as well as shop in shops, have told me you don’t get to choose. They only stock 5cm chains. That’s it. No other lengths. They give no reason. That’s just what gets sent to them. I have 15cm wrist measurements and wear 17 and 18 cm bracelets and bangles, I was worried the 5cm chains will be too long for me as I like wearing my Pandora to work and I work with computers so I type a lot and not sure if the chain will get in the way if it’s that long. Also I’m scared it catches on something and it breaks.
I also don’t fill up my bracelets to the max, so not sure how the screw on chains will move around with no charms directly next to them holding them on the threads.
These are just everything I am considering before I get a safety chain. But you have sort of reassured me it’s a good idea to try one at least. Thanks for sharing Emily, have a lovely week 😘🤗💝💕🎀

Omigoodness, I use to open my first Pandora bracelet (over my bed) before I got a safety chain! I love that you do that too! Super soft landing, indeed!!! haha.
I totally hear you on getting a safety chain for extra precautions. The retired charms are much harder to replace, should anything happen.
My wrist is just under 15cm and I wear the 17 and 18 cm sizes too! I'll have to measure my chains and see what they all compare at, length wise. So far, I haven't had any major issues with them getting pulled or caught. I think the rare time is has happened, but never damaged the chain...it is quite strong!
I really need to investigate the silicone safety chains, you have me tempted now!!! I really think you are right...they don't seem as flexible...but I'm curious to test it out and see!
If you are thinking about getting a safety chain (with more movement/less charms), the chain can move around, but I find it tends to like to hand out near the screws (at least on me). One thing you could do, is add your clip (with a rubber stopper/silicone clip) before the safety chain..and that might keep it in place too!

I can help you with this. I boight in Sweden online safery chin, and I took 4cm (the smalest size) and when it arrived i found out thaht is to small. I can barely put my hand inside with this size. So take 5cm, it will be ok. My nraclet is 17cm, my hand has 16 cm. So, I think i gave tou all the info. Greetings

I was confused about which side went where because I read at the official page of Pandora Spain that the safety chain goes with the swivel end in the opposite side of the clasp but mine kept moving and I was wondering why, I just made the change thanks to your video! I think it’s a bit confusing and girls at the store should have told me how to put it on
It is so confusing!!! I remember having the same problem and no one at the store actually told me there was a proper way to wear it. Years later, I ended up getting helped by a great sales associate who explained it to me! I appreciate when they take that extra time to teach you helpful tips, etc!!! Makes such a difference!!!

Ive been collecting pandora since 2011 and never knew the reason for the swivel side of the safety chain.Now i have too go threw my bracelets and see if they are on correctly.Thanks for info.💚💚💚.Also i thought certain designs come in a specific lenth.so the rain drops wont come in 6 7 8 it will only come 6 whereas the danity bow only comes 8 someone correct me if wrong.

Here in the Netherlands we can always choose from the different lengths of the safety chain between 4 cm till 7 cm.

Fan of a safety chain for sure and in the Uk Pandora sales assistant did measure the safety chain (especially the clip safety chains) to the size of the bracelet you buy although it's been a while since I bought one so maybe they have given up having different sizes in safety chains perhaps another lady / gent viewer might be able to help answer this ✨😘 a tip from me is put two clips after the safety chain nearest to the clasp / openings put the clips on both ends and it will help shorten that chain if you find it is too long when the clasp is open or if it opens accidentally and it is able to slid off your whole hand instead of sticking at your widest point of your hand that means the chain is too long for you hope I have explained well what I mean Thanks for another great and interesting Vid 😍

Ok so i dont understand why i wore my pandora bracelet for 4 weeks & now my pave heart clasp pops open if i barely put any pressure near the heart. I lost it & freaked out but thank goodness it landed in my purse & i was out running errands for the whole day & only noticed when i got home. Now im afraid to wear it even with a safety chain cuz the clasp is still gonna be weak.
Just Jessy oh, no!!! It sounds like there may be a quality issue 27th your with your clasp. It shouldn't come undone that easily. I would bring it back to the Pandora store and let them know. It's on warranty for a year, but it sounds like the clasp was faulty from the beginning.So sorry that happened to you. That's the worst!! Should be much better quality then that! 😔💕💕

Have you ever had your safety chain come off on your open end? Do you need to check that it still is in place?
Yes, it occasionally rolls down the screw system, near the clasp! I always try to make sure it's around the screws a bit more, but usually it stays in place! Have you seen the safety chains that have the clips? I'm not sure if Pandora has retired those styles, but they prevented the safety chain coming off. on the open end. Some people also use a clip at the open end of the bracelet, plus a safety chain, to prevent anything from coming off!
